AFGHANISTAN: ACID ATTACK Victims demand justice
Posted: February 1, 2009 Filed under: Women Leave a comment »Last year, two teenage girls suffered appalling injuries when acid was thrown in their faces on their way to school. It was one of many such attacks perpetrated by the Taliban.
Shamsia Husseina and her sister Atifa returned to school in January, determined to continue their education. (Something they couldn’t even contemplate before the war) But new threats have left them living in fear for their lives once again.
