Such is the case with the Chandlers, a British couple captured by Muslim pirates on their yacht off the coast of Somalia and have been held for several months now. Why they were sailing in such dangerous waters is anyone’s guess. But more importantly, the problem is that British and other Western governments and shipping firms have been paying huge ransoms for the return of hostages for years now.
