*Putz is Yiddish for prick – a self-righteous numbnuts who has such an inflated ego, he has no clue that he actually is rather stupid. A true putz not only is an arrogant bastard, he also is aggressive or combative about his stunningly inept decision-making. More offensive than ‘schmuck.’ (Example: Barney Frank)
