Many succeed. But for the ones who fail, it’s a lot worse.

Most of these women have been sold into forced marriages by their fathers, often when they are just 12 or 13 years old, sometimes younger. All are abused and treated like slaves by their husbands. This is the story of Gololai. While she was burning up outside in the yard, her in-laws watched TV.
