Dr. David B. Samadi is the Vice Chairman, Department of Urology and Chief of Robotics and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Samadi, a Persian Jew and his brother,  fled Iran in 1979 at the age of 16 after the overthrow of the Shah’s government. They grew up and were educated in the Persian Jewish communities of Belgium and London.
