LA TIMES “He was screaming he was going to die and that he wanted to die,” witness Gregory Bojorquez said. (Anxious to meet his 72 virgins, I guess)
Gunman on ground sure looks like every other Islamic terrorist we’ve seen:

Willliam Wiles, a student at the Los Angeles Recording School, said he began recording video on his iPhone. A brief video, which he provided to The Times, shows a man in the intersection firing a shot at a pickup truck. The gunman was “being crazy and spastic,” eyewitness William Wiles said, firing randomily at passing cars on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood.
The gunman started shooting with no apparent motive. He was killed on Vine Street by Los Angeles police officers Friday morning. Man in a silver Mercedes Benz who was shot in the jaw is in critical condition, police said. The 40-year-old victim was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Other witnesses said the man was standing in the middle of the intersection, apparently “shooting randomly at cars and in the air,” said witness Gregory Bojorquez, who was on the way to the Bank of America. ”At first it seemed like a movie but then you could hear the shots hitting metal,” Bojorquez said.
Bojorquez said he then saw a plainclothes officer emerge from a squad car and order the gunman to get on the ground and surrender, but the gunman appeared to ignore him.

Pamela Geller had an article online right away titled HOLLYWOOD JIHAD: SHOOTOUT, GUNMAN CALMLY TARGETED DRIVERS AND PEOPLE WHILE SHOUTING ALLAHU AKBAR! She said in her lede“What is most disturbing about this story, apart from the obvious horror, is that not one news account reported what one witness said the shooter was screaming: “allahu akbar.” Not one news account. The media is the enemy.”
The initial local news video about the incident did include one witness saying that the shooter shouted “Allahu Akbar!” but at this point no other witness has confirmed that. Whether or not that one witness was accurate about what he thought he heard, no one yet knows, and none of the cell phone videos of the incident as it happened at this point confirm this allegatioin. Other witnesses said that they heard the shooter shout “Is this the end?” and “kill me” and “I’m gonna die” during the rampage. Witnesses also identified the shooter variously as “white” and as “hispanic”.
Of course, as soon as Geller posted her story, the Islamophobic echo chamber reposted her story with their own sensational headlines. Geller’s partner Robert Spencer posted his own article referring to Geller. Sheikh Yermami called it “Hollywood Jihad”, Bare Naked Islam called it “Sudden Jihad Syndrome”. Free Republic re-posted, Creeping Sharia re-posted. Even the Grant County Tea Party site re-posted Geller’s article. Gateway Punditsaid “Once again the media hid the truth from the American public.” The Muslims are Terrorists siteposted the headline Muslim goes on shooting spree in Hollywood! Shouts allah akbar, media omits that detail to protect jihadists! with the lede “Thankfully one less muslim is wandering the streets tonight!”
Can we be certain he wasn’t saying ‘Bush is a terrorist’? NOT! I am cynical because I take these people at their word. Then again, I am in good company as Rep. West does the same.

This is the first coverage I’ve seen that includes the witness who hear allahu akbar, and he is Asian and not likely to have been mistaken in what he heard. But I suppose if Sharia Hillary gets her blasphemy law next week the media will be barred from reporting any Islam connection to these incidents. This easily could have become a massacre and how would they have spun it then?

The translation of ‘allahu akbar’ is ‘Allah is greater’ in that Allah is a greater god than your infidel god, i.e., the god of Christianity, Judaism, or any other religion. This was shouted by the jihadists as they attacked infidels during Mo’s raids against the Jews and the other infidels of the Arab lands.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KTLA) — The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has identified the man police shot and killed Friday after he opened fire on unsuspecting cars in the middle of a busy Hollywood intersection.
The 26-year-old man was Tyler Brehm.
Few details about the man are available but a Facebook page belonging to a man bearing the same name reveals that man ended a relationship four days ago. It has not yet been confirmed that the Tyler Brehm depicted on the Facebook page is the same Tyler Brehm involved in Friday’s shooting, but the Facebook paged indicated its owner lives in Hollywood and was originally from Carlisle, Penn.

VH, it looks like a facebook image perhaps. And since we don’t know when it was taken, it looks enough like the one in the news to be the same guy.
God was indeed “looking down” on the one gentleman survivor, it sure as hell wasn’t Allah. I’m sure this will all be categorized as a simple case of “workplace violence” much like the jihadist rampage at Ft. Hood. I’m also sure this young man simply misunderstood the Koran’s message of peace. November 2012 can’t get here soon enough.

However, attempting to use someone probably not of islam to expose islam is a very bad plan that does all of us a great deal of harm. The fastest way to kill our mutual credibility and hurt the cause is to shoot & misfire.
Again, before we make fools of ourselves, please look at KTLA Los Angeles for the latest. I agree there possibly “could be” an islam link that has not yet been spotted, but as it stands based on what we do know, it looks unlikely.

CIF, as I said before, that photo could have been taken any time before the shooting. There are enough similarities that they could be the same guy. If the witness is correct about the Allahu Akbar, he is a jihadi. They ALWAYS are.
