Muslim-in-Chief endorses UN Resolution that will criminalize defamation of religion (Islam), i.e., quoting from the Quran

And so begins Barack Hussein Obama’s Islamo-centric inspired attack on the First Amendment. When we get a real American president, this attack on free speech can be repealed. Otherwise bloggers like this one could be charged with blasphemy for telling the truth about Islam.
CNS NEWS The U.N. General Assembly on Monday adopted a resolution condemning the stereotyping, negative profiling and stigmatization of people based on their religion, and urging countries to take effective steps “to address and combat such incidents.”
No member state called for a recorded vote on the text, which was as a result adopted “by consensus.”
The resolution, an initiative of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), is based on one passed by the U.N.’s Human Rights Council in Geneva last spring. The State Department last week hosted a meeting to discuss ways of “implementing” it.
Every year since 1999 the OIC has steered through the U.N.’s human rights apparatus a resolution condemning the “defamation of religion,” which for the bloc of 56 Muslim states covered incidents ranging from satirizing Mohammed in a newspaper cartoon to criticism of shari’a and post-9/11 security check profiling.
Critics regard the measure as an attempt to outlaw valid and critical scrutiny of Islamic teachings, as some OIC states do through controversial blasphemy laws at home.
Strongly opposed by mostly Western democracies, the divisive “defamation” resolution received a dwindling number of votes each year, with the margin of success falling from 57 votes in 2007 to 19 in 2009 and just 12 last year.
This year’s text was a departure, in that it dropped the “defamation” language and included a paragraph that reaffirms “the positive role that the exercise of the right to freedom of opinion and expression and the full respect for the freedom to seek, receive and impart information can play in strengthening democracy and combating religious intolerance.”
The nod to freedom of expression won the resolution the support of the U.S. and other democracies, with the Obama administration and others hailing it as a breakthrough after years of acrimonious debate.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton took the opportunity of the State Department-hosted talks with foreign governments, the OIC and other international bodies last week to stress the importance of freedom of speech in the U.S. She argued that “the best way to treat offensive speech is by people either ignoring it or combating it with good arguments and good speech that overwhelms it.”
Nonetheless, the resolution adopted in New York on Monday does contain elements that concern some free speech and religious freedom advocates.
It calls on states “to take effective measures to ensure that public functionaries in the conduct of their public duties do not discriminate against an individual on the basis of religion or belief.”Governments also are expected to make “a strong effort to counter religious profiling, which is understood to be the invidious use of religion as a criterion in conducting questionings, searches and other law enforcement investigative procedures.” (So no more profiling of potential muslim terrorists on planes?)
“Effective measures” to counter cases of religious stereotyping and stigmatization include education, interfaith dialogue and “training of government officials.”
And in the worst cases, those of “incitement to imminent violence” based on religion, the resolution calls on countries to implement “measures to criminalize” such behavior. (If a Paki terrorist kills someone in Pakistan and blames it on this blog, then I am responsible?)
Also of note is the fact that the resolution singles out for praise only one interfaith initiative – and that initiative was established by Saudi Arabia, a leading OIC member-state with a long history of enforcing blasphemy laws.
The resolution commends the establishment of the King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue, “acknowledging the important role that the Centre is expected to play as a platform for the enhancement of interreligious and intercultural dialogue.” (Yes, because Saudi Arabia is a bastion of religious freedom. Who want to take a trip to Mecca with me?)
Another clause welcomes “all international, regional and national initiatives aimed at promoting interreligious, intercultural and interfaith harmony and combating discrimination against individuals on the basis of religion or belief,” but the Saudi one alone is recognized specifically.
Monday’s adoption of the text took place without a debate. Earlier, when a General Assembly committee considered the draft resolution, a delegate of Poland – speaking on behalf of the European Union – raised concern about the fact it mentioned by name only one center for interreligious dialogue, even though there were numerous such facilities around the world.
The E.U. was also concerned that the resolution considered the world as “monolithic religious blocs,” while religious hatred was primarily a threat to individual freedoms, he said. Despite those concerns, the E.U. was prepared to join consensus and support the resolution.
The U.S. representative, John Sammis, said the United States was pleased to join the consensus. It had been unable to support previous resolutions of this type because they sought to restrict expression and were “counterproductive,” he said, but the new one upholds respect for universal human rights. So, when does the United States of America fall under the jurisdiction of the UN? We the People have a Constitution that guarantees all Americans the right to freedom of speech and expression. No one said that Muslims could not come here and live in America. But if they choose to come here then they should accept our way of life or go back to wherever they came from in the first place! ” Reid v. Covert, 354 U.S. 1 (1957). The Court ruled:
. . .no agreement with a foreign nation can confer on Congress or any other branch of the Government power which is free from the restraints of the Constitution. . . .
This court has regularly and uniformly recognized the supremacy of the constitution over a treaty.
This Court has also repeatedly taken the position that an Act of Congress, which must comply with the Constitution, is on a full parity with a treaty, and that when a statute which is subsequent in time is inconsistent with a treaty, the statute to the extent of conflict renders the treaty null. It would be completely anomalous to say that a treaty need not comply with the Constitution when such an agreement can be overridden by a statute that must conform to that instrument.
Note that the Court held that acts of Congress are legally equal to treaties. Acts must comply with the Constitution, so treaties, being on “full parity” with acts, must also comply. The Court continued,
No agreement with a foreign nation can confer power on Congress or any other branch of government, which is free from the restraints of the constitution.
Chief Justice of the United States Joseph Story wrote in the 19th century,
A power given by the Constitution cannot be construed to authorize a destruction of other powers given in the same instrument. . . . A treaty to change the organization of the Government, or to annihilate its sovereignty, to overturn its republican form, or to deprive it of its constitutional powers, would be void; because it would destroy what it was designed merely to fulfill, the will of the people.”
What Americans should be concerned about is the treasonous acts committed by our Government representatives. Any elected official, or government agent acting on behalf of the United States who takes direct action that has the effect to change, diminish, or eliminate, our Constitutional Rights is guilty of sedition and treason. Those desiring to limit the rights under the First and Second Amendments are traitors and must be exposed and warned that their actions may someday result in their trial for treason.
Disturbing- the fight against Islam is getting tougher. After reading this I shall review my 2014 publication plans, and plan a focus to protect freedom of speech in every which way. Threats of violence must be separated from rights to ahimsa freedom of speech, to ensure we can continue our rejection of Islam. It must be unlawful to prosecute critiicism because someone else chose to use violent behaviour. Each person must be accountable for actual behaviour not for what they said. Violent threats should only be taken into account by the prosecution when the deliverer of the violent threat is also linked to the violent deed. We clearly need a Universal ‘Freedom of Speech Act’ that preserves the right to criticise any idea, locked in tight which denies any political force, generation after generation, the right of change.
The sooner the public votes out Cameron, Gillard, Clinton, Obama and the United Nations the better our chance of defeating Islam.

Freedom of speech is absolutely essential, as is having the legal ability to question, insult, identify, and profile our enemies, perceived or not. Obama has effectively destroyed that with glee and praise for just that enemy. Is Islam going to held accountable? They are the least tolerant, most destructive/violent/sadistic/evil ideology posing as a religion in the world…will Muslims be able to freely curse Jews and Christians? Call for the death of America, for Jews, for apostates? Muslims won’t be able to practice their ‘faith’ without such open hatred, and just questioning that falls under Islamophobia. According to Obama Islam is untouchable and we must sacrifice our freedoms to appease them (even further implementing Sharia Law over the Constitution). This is absolute madness.

We stand on what this country was founded as.Free speech will continue to reign and all those that do not like it can get the hell out and move to another ocuntry.If Muslims feel they are under attack its there own damn fault.They continue to try to change our way of life,always making death threats,ignore our laws,kill there own kids for the sake of there evil honor killing and do not respect other faiths and religions.
I do not see any other religion kill there own kind for converting or making fun of there own religion.People are always targeting Christianity..sure,maybe some of them will try,only in talking or protesting,try to force it down some people,BUT they are not killed or tortured for it..lets not get into the past either..that was a long long time ago..I am talking about in todays time..besides,,many people left Europe so they could come to this country and worship or not to worship as they pleased as long as they didn’t physically hurt or torture anyone or any animals.
If America falls under Islamic rule there will be no other place on earth to go.As America falls so will the rest of the world.Wish I could say I would love to move to another planet,,but we are not there yet,thanks too our wonderful awwwkkk,leaders!!!
The UN has no standing in my eyes. I think it was 1972 or 73 when Yasser Arafat walked into the General Assembly hall with a pistol tucked into his belt. He said he feared for his life from Zionist and America hit teams. He addressed the UN about Palestinian rights and they loved it. He was framed a true Anti-American-Anti-Zionist revolutionary, from that day forward we have been plagued by Islamic terrorism and the phony rights of Palestinians. We allowed this to fester through the Iranian Revolution and numerous spineless responses to violent acts of Islamic terror aimed at our ONLY ally in the Middle East, Israel and the indiscriminate killing of our citizens abroad. We need to get ourselves untangled from the UN but I doubt any American leader will have the intestinal fortitude to even mention stopping support for the UN.
Don’t forget those baby blue helmets make for great target acquisition.
