LOL, and from my personal experience in Venice; I can tell you that is some really DIRTY water. I was in a gondola years ago, and a dead cat floated by, and some other unidentifiable debris. If this was where they were to pray, it would be good enough for them, face down in that nasty stuff.

Well, that saves them from having to do the ritual ablutions before doing their prayers. But they might want to consider investing in snorkels.
