Although only about 3% of the population of Zanzibar is Christian (with 45% of Tanzanians Christian), Muslims want to purge the country of everything non-Islamic. They are teaching hatred for Christians who won’t convert and are burning down churches in order to help turn Africa into the first all-Muslim continent. Once you convert to Islam, you will never be allowed to leave….alive.
Zanzibar guarantees freedom of religion, but with Islam their constitution cannot protect them. In additions, the Muslims (ALL) are teaching to one another to HATE all Christians. Zanzibar’s mosques are fuller on Fridays, more women are wearing head scarves and more Muslim men are showing calluses created by frequently touching their foreheads to the ground in prayer. A growing number of Zanzibaris are turning toward a stricter form of Islam and possibly away from democracy. Fundamentalist clerics see an opportunity, offering Islamic law as an alternative to democracy, arguing that would bring discipline and moral values to political leadership.

God’s eyes are on all of His children, and God is God of justice. The persecution of my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ reminds me of Revelation, where the Saints who were martyred in the name of Christ were standing at the throne of God, asking “When? When will justice be served?” God told them to be still and wait a little while longer. There will be a reckoning and it’s going to be brutal to those who oppress, destroy, condemn and persecute God’s children.

Africans love to blame the white man for everything wrong with their nations and societies. While colonialism certainly was brutal and change was needed, the Africans seem to be doing just fine without the white man to continue destroying themselves. And Islam seems to be at the forefront helping to destroy Africa — well, what’s left of it, that is.
You would think that post colonial Africa would go into a building phase after freeing themselves from the shackles of colonialism. After all, the white man kept them down in the dirt, so they would want to rise up and build. They would try to build strong governments and strong economies and become self supporting and self sustaining. They would try to improve, educate themselves, help find ways to support themselves. But nooooo…they seem to be doing just the opposite!
Truth be told, Africa was actually better under colonial rule!

I’m starting to think that Britain needs to build up its military (esp Navy which Blair decimated) again and take back some of its more wayward former colonies. With a few notable exceptions (India and Singapore being two), democracy and human rights die once the “natives” take hold.

I am of African descent myself, but you are both so correct. Islam is poisoning the minds of people of African descent in America. Of course, African paganism were the original religions of Africa, many of which had a strong central Supreme Being.
Christianity, which is often regarded as the “white man’s religion” has had a long history in Africa, and some of the most ancient Judeo Christian writings are preserved in African languages when elsewhere they disappeared entirely. The languages include Coptic of various dialects, and Ethiopic. The First Book of Enoch, a Hebrew writing, for example, which had a great influence on New Testament thought and ideas, and is actually even quoted once in the New Testament, is preserved in its entirety only in Ethiopic. And only fragments exist in Hebrew, Greek and other languages.
Many Gnostic manuscripts which preserve the history of early Christianity were preserved in African languages whereas they were lost and destroyed in other parts of the world.
I get tired of hearing black people complain about what the “white man” is doing to them. Much of what is happenig is actually their own doing. In fact, Islam seems to be feeding into the African American culture of laziness and welfare society, much as Muslims in Europe are sapping welfare in that continent and then blaming all the ills of their society on native Europeans.

I often wonder myself if a return to colonialism in Africa would be a better option — not that colonialism was all that great.
There were human rights abuses committed by the French, German, Belgian, British, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian colonizers against the native Africans, including virtual slavery, and brutality of all sorts. And these are well documented.
But on the positive side, some Africans were getting educated, there were schools being built, books being printed, farming, running water were introduced, and money was flowing to and from the colonies. Cities were being built and maintained. Now there is nothing.
Islamic fundamentalism is going to destroy what little Africa has left.
The scariest thing is…. Jews christians and muslims all worship the same god. Fews and christians only differ on recognising christ as the son of god. jews see him as a prophet only. Christians therefore see the new testement and jews dont. Mohommed (theres about 20 veriations of his name) was a jew. and around 600ad wrote to Koran and founded islam. the Koran is much the same as both the jewish and christian bible. the commandments are also the same. The difference comes from the human influence. Muslims want to control the world and they will use their religion to do this. (mind you christianity has tried to do this in the crusades). so lets not be blinded. remeber religion is a tool, nothing more. Its the opiate of the masses, the way the upper 1% make you do their bidding. dont be fooled this is the 21st century. Our science has answered 99% of the bibles questions (the questions they gave fat lies as answers to). That is very sad. The Tanzanian government isn’t known for being religious. Furthermore, previous leaders of Tanzania such as Ali Hassan Mwinyi expressly condemned muslims who attacked pork butcheries, furthermore, he said individual liberties were more important than religion.

In ancient times Africa had a lot going for it. And Africa still does have a lot going for it. I lament seeing Africa just simply going down the toilet, and Islamism seems to be contributing to its devastation.
Indigenous cultures had their degrees of barbarity. Of course, in ancient times, Europe and Asia were hardly better. The Romans were the ones who coined the term “barbarian” to refer to the peoples of Northern Europe. Northern Europeans weren’t exactly nice people.
Africa was the cradle of the human race according to modern scientists. So ultimately we all have African ancestry, no matter where you are from.

But what is frustrating is that Africans do often have legitimate grievances against European/Western exploitation. Perhaps, even now in modern Africa, you have heard of sweat shops being used to make Nike shoes, and other goods sold in the US and Western countries. They work for little pay and horrid working conditions. You may have heard of rubber plantations that use virtual slave labor, and other abuses such as pollution by Western companies, because Africa has no environmental laws, or if they do, they can’t enforce them.
Along come the Islamic fundamentalists, who promise (taqiyya and kitman) among other things, a better life, and a society free from the “white man” and exploitation, and free and independent societies. Boko Haram is one such group that uses legitimate grievances as a tool to recruit members people to the cause, and their wave of destruction.
Of course, the Islamists aren’t going to deliver their promise. Instead they will deliver an austere rule and a spartan existence that will make even the worst of European and Western abuses look like royal treatment. And of course, the brutality will even be worse than anything done by the West.
This is the situation in Africa. And this is a two part solution. Western societies are going to have to clean up their act in Africa. Stop the human rights abuses and treat the people fairly. Do honorable business in Africa. This will give the Islamists less ammunition to use against the West. Then the West will have to find ways to defeat the Islamists in Africa, and to help the non Muslim Africans throw off the yoke of Islamism and Islamic rule.
Where evil asslifters rule, the people mourn……….They say their sick ******** ideology is “God’s religion”, when in REALITY Islam IS the “religion” of the Anti-Christ!!!! No peace, no freedom and no soul in Islam; surrender to the “religion” of the ASSLIFTERS, and you surrender your soul!!

The trouble is not with the Africans, themselves. It is the insidious effect of Islam. This has occurred wherever Islam has taken sway.
Truth is that Christianity came to Africa via the Ethiopian *in the Koine and Classical Greek, an “ethiopian” was simply a black man, from the Greek “aithiops”* eunuch who was visiting Jerusalem in the book of Acts and his conversion through Philip (see Acts 8:26-40) BEFORE it went to Europe via the Apostle Paul, and thus, the claim that Christianity is “the white man’s religion” is specious, at best. It is for ALL men at ALL times.

You speak of indigenous African cultures as “wonderful, if barbaric,” but isn’t that tarring all of the various cultures of sub-Saharan Africans with the same brush? Like in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Australasia/Oceania/Pacific Islands, cultures all varied in what we might call “barbarity,” and in fact, for much of the last 1500 years, the cultures of Europe could have been considered far MORE ‘barbaric’ than those of Sub-Saharan Africa (drawing and quartering, the Inquisition, religious wars of the 16th and 17th centuries, etc.) if one wishes to focus on all the awful things that went on. It is human nature at times to be awful, and this is NOT limited to one set of cultures.
Of course, if you are using the term “barbaric” in its original context, as in “foreign,” then I cannot fault your reasoning. To the Sub-Saharan African, the cultures of Europe, the Middle East, and anywhere else in the world would also be considered “barbaric,” simply because they are foreign

Having said the above, it must be noted that, in fact, wherever Islam has taken over and wherever Muslims become the numerical majority, advancement in sciences, arts, human rights, medicine, technology, tends to cease. The so-called “Islamic” advances in the period referred to in the West as “The Middle Ages” came in those areas when Islam had overrun, but not yet fully ruled. Many of the so-called Islamic advances were done by non-Muslim residents while Muslims were the numerical minority, and those Muslims who might HAVE worked on such did so in secret.
This is not to say that progress in the aforementioned areas was not SOMETIMES hindered in “Christian” Europe *particularly Western, “Catholic,” Europe,* but even then the hindrance was in fits and starts, and the fact of the Middle Ages is that science and technology was often ADVANCED by the Chruch in a quest to learn and understand God’s Creation as best humans can. There were strictures on doing dissections of human cadavers, but even then, the warfare somewhat endemic to Medieval Europe gave doctors wonderful opportunities to learn more about how the human body worked and how to better heal injuries and wounds.
Some more things I will bring up to highlight the differences between the Judaeo-Christian world ethos and the Islamic one: It is the Judaeo-Christian ethos which has advanced the cause of human rights through such movements as: The Abolition of Slavery (something Islam never considered and doesn’t truly consider NOW); the equality of rights for women (another thing ISLAM cannot abide); the reduction and/or fall of racism (an illness truly introduced to the Judaeo-Christian world by contacts with Islam, which does NOT look kindly upon black folks); universal education; universal suffrage; classical Liberalism (not to be confused with that is often considered “liberalism” these days); equality under the law (something first enshrined, in fact, in the Mosaic Law code); doctrines of Free Will and self-determination.
That’s all I have to say for now.

Please brothers do respect all your brothers and all religions. There are 5 major religions in the World: Hindi, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Rastafari.
We should live in peace and harmony next to eachother and built the Society. Brothers look at Dubai, an international center of the Islam with has churches and christians, hindis and temples.
It is economically successfull because of peace and tolerance and religion.
Let Dubai be an example for you brothers in Zanzibar and Stonetown.
