The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) condemned the alleged desecration of corpses in Afghanistan by members of the U.S. Marines.
In a letter faxed to Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad wrote:
“We condemn this apparent desecration of the dead as a violation of our nation’s military regulations and of international laws of war prohibiting such disgusting and immoral actions.
“If verified as authentic, the video shows behavior that is totally unbecoming of American military personnel and that could ultimately endanger other soldiers and civilians.
“We trust that this disturbing incident will be promptly investigated in a transparent manner and that appropriate actions will be taken based on the results of that investigation. Any guilty parties must be punished to the full extent allowed by the Uniform Code of Military Justice and by relevant American laws.”
TMZ The United States Marine Corps is launching an investigation into a video which appears to show Marines in full combat gear urinating on several dead bodies. In the extremely graphic video, which appeared on various websites this morning, at least 4 male Marines expose their genitals and urinate on the bodies. The mystery person traitor who posted the video included a caption that reads, “**** ****** **** ***** team **** ** *** ***** ***** ****** ******** **** peeing on dead talibans.”
Now, Captain Kendra N. Hardesty — a Media Officer for the USMC — tells us, “While we have not yet verified the origin or authenticity of this video, the actions portrayed are not consistent with our core values and are not indicative of the character of theMarines in our Corps.” She adds, “This matter will be fully investigated and those responsible will be held accountable for their actions.”
In the video, one of the urinating men can be heard saying, “Have a great day, buddy.” Another guy jokes about the situation … saying, “Golden like a shower.”
[UPDATE] SHRILLARY CLINTON expresses “shock and dismay” over the pissing Marines incident.
Finally, Hillary gets to publicly vent her little known hatred for the Marines. When she was first lady, she was so repulsed by having to walk past all the Marines in uniform standing guard at the White House, she tried to force them out of uniform, but failed.

They should be shot as spies if they refuse to identify themselves as combatants by dressing the part. There is a good reason for this long-standing military convention. It is tremendously difficult and far more dangerous to weed such an enemy out from among civilian populations or identify them in the countryside and to have to do it while marking yourself as a target by wearing your own uniform.
It also leads to the unnecessary deaths of civilians (because they look exactly like the soldiers who refuse to distinguish themselves.)
Why has no one made an issue of this? We make our soldiers fight and patrol in hostile territory at an extreme disadvantage. The least the DOD could do is give them a green light to kill any combatant out of uniform before or after capture. It’s not an atrocity, it’s called playing fair or paying the price for cheating.
Imagine what a Taliban soldier in civilian clothes can do: He can boldly approach U.S. soldiers and gather intel or disseminate false information. He can shoot at them and then blend in with a train of refugees or run into a building and just squat. He can drop a machine gun and pick up a plow in the countryside or vice versa. He can approach from miles away in plain sight without fear of being shot at until he makes an overt hostile gesture (which could be lethal). He can infiltrate a civilian population spreading disinformation or propaganda or recruiting or setting booby traps or making reprisals or collecting supplies or intel or pre-stocking a battle zone.
Our leaders are traitors for allowing this.
