Theres a book of the bible called Esther. It’s about an orphaned Jewish girl who becomes Queen. She was placed there by God to deliver her people (the Jews) from being totally wiped out by their enemy who had got into power by deceit and lies. The enemy of the Jews wanted to wipe them out completely. They nearly succeeded BUT God made a way out for them. This is our (One, True, Holy God who delivered His people back then and will do it again today!! What is happening now is no different back then except it’s on a larger scale. God has a plan and purpose for each one of us. We can make a difference. If God is for us who can be against us “For such a time as this”…..Esther is a good read for anyone who needs encouragement and hope that there is a God out there who cares and is wanting to deliver us from evil men. You can watch it on DVD too. It’s a bit different to the accounts of what happened in the bible but it’s still good
to watch It’s called ‘One night with the King” for those who are interested in history. For history does have a habit of repeating it’s self but it’s whether we chose to learn from it or not that determines our outcome.
