yes, I recall all the crap said by commentators about, in Gulf war 2, how we were facing one of the biggest, most well equipped armies on the planet, with the elite, mighty, republican guard at their head. nomosque, we have an open invitation from Israel to use their airports, military facilities, and personnel for any conflict at any time. But we choose not to because we don’t want to piss off the ragheads. However, they do provide us with a tremendous amount of intel about the Middle East.

As far as I can recall (me being a Veteran Soldier that keeps well informed of all past, present and pending conflicts, globally, especially where allies are involved), its the MUSLIMS that seem to have a problem with head on battle. The Israels aren’t the ones that have developed a reputation for planting IEDs in the middle of the night. The Israelis haven’t garnered a reputation for firing rockets into muslim nations’ residential areas, nor of using suicide bombs. We Americans have used bombs and drones, yes, but let’s also not forget the fact that the worthless, ragtag, unmotivated and unsuccessful muslims that were fighting the Taliban were marshaled by the US Army Special Forces on horseback, and made into the Northern Alliance. Sometimes, with just 1 or 2 SF operators with them, they were able to topple the Taliban in an unheard of ONE MONTH. Let’s also not forget that when the entire city of Mogadishu decided to get involved in fighting US SOF, it didn’t go very well for them, even with vastly superior numbers, aggression enhancing drugs and a worthless president and disgraced defense secretary that refused the SOF operators heavy weapons.

As for stomach problems, a friend of mine from the Navy that went into the sandbox made the reasons for that very clear.
