Last week, a young man named Zack Davies attacked a Sikh man with a hammer and a machete, leaving him with serious injuries in a Tesco supermarket in north Wales. This story from the Mirror last week identifies the victim by name, Sarandev Brahambra, but describes him only as ‘Asian,’ without ever saying he was Sikh. It also says “the attacker was shouting ‘White power’, (no doubt to shift blame away from muslims) according to witnesses. So this was presented to the British public as a an attack by one of those right-wing racists.
