In the afternoon GOP presidential debate yesterday, Sen Lindsey Graham is being accused of being a neo-McCarthyist (a good thing!) for vowing to increase surveillance of Muslims and mosques to keep America safe from terror attacks.
Detroit News Refusing to utter the “M” word, Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina called it “disturbing” that each time a homegrown (MUSLIM) terror attack occurs “it turns out we had warning signals. But the dots weren’t connected.”
Gov. George Pataki, who was asked whether he would potentially put mosques under surveillance to root out Islamic extremists said, “Religious liberty doesn’t include encouraging a fellow American to engage in jihad and killing Americans here. That is not protected free speech,” but he failed to address whether he’d infiltrate mosques. (However, while he was Governor of NY, mosques were always under heavy surveillance)
