The Australian Liberty Alliance (ALA) has just officially launched in Perth with the outspoken Dutch MP Geert Wilders as its keynote speaker – rudely shouted down by Islamofascist sympathizers. The popular Dutch firebrand and leading anti-Islam campaigner said the new party was modeled on his own Freedom Party in opposing “Islamization” and stopping the spread of Islam.
ABC (h/t Cathari15) Media had to register in advance for the press conference that followed and were sent the location by text message, but word quickly spread and Mr Wilders was forced to talk over a small group of vocal protesters (below). Chanting “Say it loud, say it clear, ‘racists’ are not welcome here,” the handful of protesters used an amplifier to get their message across at the event.
Wilders is often reviled by leftists for his fiery rhetoric, but his Freedom Party continues to ride high in opinion polls in the Netherlands amid the European refugee crisis.
Its policies include banning full face coverings in public, placing a 10-year moratorium on resident visa applications by people from Islamic countries and removing Australia from the UN charter of refugees.
It was inspired by Mr Wilders’ Party for Freedom, which won 12 per cent of the vote at the last general election in the Netherlands and has led 13 of the last 16 opinion polls.
Mr Wilders has previously called for a tax on the Muslim headscarf, described Islam as the “ideology of a retarded culture” and the quran as a “fascist book” comparable to Hitler’s Mein Kampf which “incites violence” and must be banned.
