Gulchekhra Bobokulova cut off the head of a 4-year-old disabled child she was babysitting, set the family’s apartment on fire, and wandered the streets of Moscow waving the severed head around because she was angry at Russia for bombing Muslim terrorists in Syria, and most of all. she said she it because “Allah told her to.”
Inquisitr (h/t Robert S) Now, the people of Russia have become increasingly hostile to Islam and are beginning to call for a ban on Muslims entering their country.
Bobokulova, herself a mother of three, said she beheaded the girl to avenge her fellow Muslims killed by Russian airstrikes in Syria, according to Reuters.
“I took revenge against those who spilled blood. Putin spilled blood, planes carried out bombings. Why are Muslims being killed? They also want to live.”
She’s been called the bloody nanny, the killer nanny, the beheading nanny; and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, or KPRF, is holding her up as an example of why Russia needs to ban Muslims from entering their country. The KPRF created an image of a woman wearing a burqa holding a severed head surrounded by a no symbol.
The Kremlin has tried to distance itself from the issue noting Bobokulova has been diagnosed as a mentally unstable schizophrenic, according to Reuters.
“You need to regard anything that such a deranged woman says accordingly.”
That hasn’t been easy, however, as the sensational story keeps making headlines and conservatives in the country continue to call for a Muslim immigration ban.
In court, the killer nanny admitted to stabbing the young girl in the throat before chopping her head off with a kitchen knife; she left her decapitated body in the apartment, donned a hijab, and wandered the Moscow streets waving her head, reports the Daily Mail.
“I hate democracy. I am a terrorist. I want you dead.”
As the trial continues, Russian police are looking for a mystery boyfriend who may have been in the apartment with Bobokulova when the girl was killed; it may have been him and not her who actually killed the child.
Police suspect the man, Mamur Dzhirakulov, may have radicalized the “bloody nanny.”
A relative of the dead 4-year-old girl told the Daily Mail that Bobokulova, known to the family as Gulya, changed dramatically after she married a man from Uzbekistan 18 months ago.
“Gulya seriously changed after this. She started wearing hijab, she began to pray in her room. Before she was never religious, she wore ordinary clothes, sports clothes, shirts.”
Reports have recently surfaced that the family had grown tired of Bobokulova and was looking for another nanny to replace her, sources told the Daily Mail.
“In one or two weeks there would have been a new nanny. Who could have guessed that it would happen?”
Moscow is still in a state of shock as residents try to recover from the horrific crime, and conservative politicians in the country are using the moment to push their anti-Muslim immigration stance. They point to a possible terror connection with an international extremist group as proof Russia needs to tighten its borders.
