Designated terrorist group CAIR has demanded an intensive investigation of a school yearbook photo of a Muslim student in fundamentalist Islamic dress whose name Bayan Zehlif was incorrectly listed as “Isis Phillips” under her photo.
ABC7 CAIR claims that the mistake has caused undue pain and suffering to the student and her family and expressed concern for her safety.
Bayan Zehlif, a student at Los Osos high school in Rancho Cucamonga, California, tweeted a photo of a page in her yearbook, containing her class photo with the name “Isis Phillips” underneath. The misnamed photo later went viral on social media.
She posted the picture on Facebook with the caption: “I am extremely saddened, disgusted, hurt and embarrassed that the Los Osos High School yearbook was able to get away with this. Apparently I am ‘Isis’ in the yearbook. The school reached out to me and had the audacity to say that this was a typo. I beg to differ, let’s be real.”
Trevor Santellan, one of the students who worked on the yearbook, said there actually was a student named Isis Phillips at Los Osos who transferred earlier in the year.
Litigation Jihadists with CAIR-LA’s Civil Rights Department are currently investigating the incident. To date, more than 200 yearbooks have been distributed to students at Los Osos High School. CAIR has learned that this may not be the first ‘Islamophobic event to have occurred recently at the school.
