Hillary Clinton is eagerly awaiting the outcome of this trial, which, if successful for the Dutch government, would be used as a precedent for her to go after every anti-Islam activist in America if she wins the election.
The trial against Dutch far-right leader Geert Wilders is to go ahead as planned, after a court on Friday rejected a call from Wilders’ lawyer for the case to be suspended.
A ruling in the case, in which Wilders is accused of inciting hatred against Moroccans living in the Netherlands, is expected on October 31, local media report. Lawyer Geert-Jan Knoops said the trial is about party politics rather than about remarks made by his client, and could limit Wilders’ right to freedom of speech.
FYI: Wilders is forced to employ 24/7 security because of all the death threats he gets from Muslims.
