A high-level Department of Homeland Security official in President Donald Trump’s administration frequently dons jihadist clothing and impersonates a jihadist in videos online, drawing questions (from Muslims and their useful idiots on the Left) over whether his behavior is appropriate for the position he holds.
CarbonatedTV Frank Wuco, currently the head of the Executive Order Task Force at DHS (tasked with implementing the executive orders that Trump issues), is a former naval intelligence officer with more than two decades of experience. After retiring from a 23-year career in naval intelligence in 2004, Wuco began advising US Central Command, which oversees military operations in the Middle East, on how Islamic militants see the world.
Tyler Houlton, a DHS spokesman, confirmed Wuco’s role and called him a “valuable member of the DHS team.” Houlton said the task force was set up to ensure that the “myriad specified and implied tasks derived from the President’s 14 Executive Orders” issued so far are implemented quickly. Those orders have included bans on travelers from some majority-Muslim nations.
Politico noted in February that Wuco is a “national security expert” who “has said in statements to the media that there’s a strong connection between mainstream Islam and terror attacks.” [Politico, 2/7/17]
Wuco appeared on Fox & Friends Saturday in November 2015 and said that a “mosque surveillance” program is key to finding “out what’s going on behind the walls” of “mosques and Islamic reading centers.” He added that after the NYPD canceled its mosque surveillance program, he “can only hope that some of these programs continue with other agencies.”
Following the June 2016 mass shooting in an Orlando, FL, gay nightclub, Wuco said about shooter Omar Mateen: “There’s nothing radical about him at all. He is a Muslim who is following the strictures of Islam and its guidance and prescriptions for violence and warfare against unbelievers. … If you’re a Muslim, you believe it’s being prescribed by God and it’s being ordained by the wisdom of Muhammad.” [Politico, 2/7/17; YouTube, 6/13/16]
