FULL DISCLOSURE: We have no way of knowing if any of these allegations by this teacher, Maimona Afzal Berta, (right) are true, since similar Muslim complaints often turn out to be hate hoaxes, perpetrated to get sympathy from the media and community. The fact that the school has done nothing about her allegations makes one think they have little basis in fact.
Mercury News A middle school in San Jose, California has been accused of doing little more than holding workshops and giving slaps on the wrist to students who have called a Muslim teacher a “terrorist” and made threats to “shoot her” since the election of President Donald Trump.
According to the report, Maimona Afzal Berta (above), along with several other Muslim teachers at Fischer Middle School, have been terrorized by students with Berta now having to be walked to her classroom by her husband — also a teacher at the school – because she no longer feels safe.
The report states that on September 11th of this year, Berta entered her classroom expecting to teach Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, only to find her classroom covered in anti-Muslim slurs and obscenities scrawled on her classroom’s windows and doors. The report also notes racist graffiti also defaced other rooms on the San Jose campus.
“It was devastating,” the special-education teacher, who has been teaching for five years since graduating from college at age 18, said. “I felt completely targeted, and not even safe in a place I consider home.”
According to the report, police have been alerted to the attack on the room – -as well as other incidents such as students kicking her classroom door and shout “shoot her” — but little has been done since the school lacks surveillance cameras.
The school district has condemned the attacks, saying no one at the school should feel “marginalized,” as Fischer principal Imee Almazan pinpointed when the attacks began on the teacher who wears a hijab in ther classroom: the election of President Donald Trump.
According to the report, one student was given lunch detention in October after there was banging on her door, with someone yelling “shoot her. Regarding that incident, Berta complained, “Students will get lunch detention for wearing colored shirts or not wearing their lanyard. To put saying ‘shoot her’ in the same category as a dress code violation didn’t make any sense to me.”
Perhaps students are reacting to the Islamic religious indoctrination they are subjected to in American public school classrooms today, included in Common Core curricula which is 100% funded by the Islamic nation of Qatar.
“I’m tired of the lip service. You can’t keep telling people that you care and want to stop hate and yet you don’t follow through with actions,” Berta said, claiming school officials have offered to transfer her to another school which she refused. (How about a school in Pakistan?)
But what can you expect when so many public schools are teaching an anti-Trump bias in the classroom like this one from Fakrah Shah, a Mission High School Muslim teacher. The San Fransisco Chronicle is reporting that her esson plans include such instructions as:
In New Jersey, a Muslim headbag-wearing student says school won’t take action on ‘bully’ who called her ‘ISIS.’ The school board says the incident was investigated and a perpetrator could not be found.
“After 4 months of ‘investigation,’ the Woodbridge Township School District has come to the conclusion that when I was unknowingly taken a picture of at lunch, in school, by another student, and posted on Snapchat as ‘ISIS,’ I was not ‘harassed, intimidated, or bullied.’ Saira Ali wrote in a Facebook.
“Apparently, according to the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act, it’s entirely acceptable to take pictures of strangers and post them on social media with derogatory, inaccurate, slurs,” she wrote.
On the other hand, bullying BY Muslim students in public school classrooms is a much bigger problem. Frightened teachers at a Sydney primary school have revealed Muslim students are showing signs of extreme radicalization at a very young age – 5th grade – saying they have been traumatized by threats of beheadings and other violent behavior from these Muslim students.
“Some students would act out beheadings with their fingers across their necks,” she said. “I had incidents where the kids wanted to fly the Syrian flag in the classroom or they would wear headbands. But when you say no, they start getting abusive.
Revelations of the disturbing reports come as a former teacher at the school at the time, who has asked to be known only as Mrs A, revealed her nightmare experiences, including death threats from Islamic students.
In one incident, Mrs A said two Year 5 students pushed her into a corner during a creative arts lesson and chanted the Koran in Arabic around her. She was also left threatening notes saying students would kill her family. And red writing saying “f— your family” was left on a computer room log for her to find.
Mrs A said she was forced to leave the public education system after students in Year 5 threatened to kill her family. She claims multiple complaints to the Department of Education were simply dismissed.
