Due to the very close relationship between Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdogan and ousted Egyptian President and Muslim Brotherhood member Mohamad Morsi, the Egyptian authorities have apparently canceled a long-planned visit to Gaza by the Turkish Prime Minister.

Jewish Press Last week the Egyptian Deputy Foreign Minister for European Affairs Hatem Seif Al-Nasr called on Turkish Ambassador Huseyin Avni Botsali to object to his country’s stance towards recent events in Egypt. Since the most recent uprisings in Egypt and the ouster of Morsi, the Turkish government has been extremely critical of Egypt’s activities.
Erdogan gave a speech during an iftar dinner in Ankara expressing his discontent with recent events in Egypt and criticising Defence Minister Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi, blaming him for violence and political unrest. And in a widely reported interview given on July 14, Erdogan said that Morsi was the only legitimate president of Egypt. In addition to the current Egyptian leadership’s hostility towards Erdogan, the Turkish prime minister is plagued with mass protests in his own country.

Erdogan announced he would be visiting the Gaza Strip shortly after President Barack Obama traveled to Israel and persuaded Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to apologize for the deaths of nine Turks who were aboard the Turkish ship the Mavi Marmara which attempted to break Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip on May 31, 2010. When those aboard the Mavi Marmara refused to listen to Israeli warnings and turn back, Israelis boarded the Turkish ship armed only with paint guns. When the Turks attacked Israeli soldiers with lead pipes and weapons, Israeli soldiers eventually shot and killed the aggressors.

Perhaps Al-Sisi should tell Erdogan that an apology would not be anywhere near enough for HIM to allow the Turkish supporter of Morsi entry to Gaza.
Erdogan is a low life bastard.
Egypt, it’s military and it’s muslims are fast becoming the love of the non-muslim world. Why can’t all muslims be so cool? They probably still hate infidels though. Sad.
MORSI,OBAMA, HILLARY, KERRY, AND PANETTA should all be imprisoned for what they are trying to do, along with EVERYONE who aided and abetted them!!
This isn’t going to sit well with Sheikh O. I see another presidential fartwa coming down the pike.
Trying to have your Islamic cake and eat it too winner of the week and it’s only Monday:

Well, it is Pakistan and when you are up to your ass in alligators, it’s an even tougher job to drain the swamp.
Nice. Tamerlan “Speed Bump” Tsarnaev owned 9/11 conspiracy theory and pro-Hitler literature, which according to the BBC makes him “right-wing”, despite the fact that muslims are fans of both genres.

Expect brother Dhokhar’s groupies to try to make hay out of this.
It seems like all the good news this month has been coming out of Egypt… something I thought would never occur a few months ago given the Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi! My respect for the Egyptians continues to grow at seeing them forge closer ties to Israel, stick it to Hamas and the Palestinians, and now this with Erdogan. Keep going Egypt!
Wonderful. Quite a blow to his supersized ego.
Erdogan is an international trouble maker playing a dangerous game of inciting people to commit violence. Erdogan’s irresponsibility has already got many people killed. Erdogan is a cunning jihadist.
Amazing!
Egypt doing the job Obama should have done years ago.
Of course Obama is embedded with the MB. He’s up to his ears in it as is the EU and Ashton.
I love it.
Bless Egypt! Another blow to Obama, too. That unholy alliance needs to be banned from the entire world.
Good to see Egyptians taking yet another sensible path.
Though I can’t help but wonder, if they’ll ever to be able to separate that nonsensical Quaran intertwining with a new Constitution and Government.
Here’s hoping for a secular one (Government).
Erdogan is a real POS and thorn in our side! The sooner we can marginalize this little Hitler, the better. Too bad that Turkey is so strategically important to us and the West. Even worse, Ataturk is probably spinning in his grave to see all his work toward the secularization of Turkey go down the drain – thanks to that awful PM in Turkey!
Excvelent news, sees that from now blowing winds of freedom and democracy!!!
Thats good news. I hope Egypt fully returns to being a secular state like before.
hold your horses Sens Graham and McCain are traveling to Egypt to dicuss democracy. They’ll probably insist on reinstatement of morsi
