Edinburgh News A man who launched into a ‘racist’ tirade outside a Scottish Mosque the morning after drummer Lee Rigby was hacked to death in London has escaped with a £150 ($250) fine. (Escaped? Why was he fined at all for telling the truth?)
Livingston Sheriff Court heard that a Muslim man who witnessed the bizarre behaviour stopped his car and wound down the window. A woman having a cigarette in her garden nearby also heard Gallagher’s 2am rant. They were so concerned that police were summoned.
Gallagher was detained and arrested some time later. He made no reply to caution and charge. Gallagher, 55, of Lime Grove, Livingston, pled guilty to behaving in a threatening and abusive manner on May 26 last year.
He admitted shouting and swearing and making ‘racist’ remarks during the incident, classed as a racially aggravated offense.
This man should have been given a MEDAL not a fine.

Oh, and I want to compliment you and your fellow British. I always admired the way the British have such a love for animals and wildlife. The British countryside, forests, beaches, meadows and moors are filled with wildlife protected under various conservancies. Zoos and exotic wildlife parks in the UK are known the world over for their conservation and education efforts.
And as someone who loved James Herriot’s “All Creatures Great And Small” series- you realize how much the average Brit whether on a farm or in a town or city care for their livestock or family pet. Then of course there are all the British subjects who have traveled the world as scientists, zoologists and naturalists helping more to preserve wild animals than local people in those same areas have ever done.
Oh, and whether at home or abroad… the advances the British have made in zoology, livestock management and veterinary medicine… knows few equals… except perhaps the Israelis!
And with an interest in WWII… I know of the “Dickin Medal” where animals were awarded recognition for bravery in war time.
For the way non-Muslim British treat their fellow earthly creatures… you have an such a wonderful “track record” in caring for animals.

One older citizen in Graz (City in Styria) too was found guilty of MOCKING a religion, because while he was mowing the lawn, he yodeled and Muslims claimed he was making fun of their CALL TO PRAYER! When it happens, the backlash it will happen in the same manner as the relief of pressure from a very large build-up of pressure over a very long period of time…..and it will happen without warning based on a single incident and the force will grow with lightening speed and exponentially……..remember Egypt ?……it was a single man who was selling fruit to feed his family and had suffered the repeated injury of law enforcement officials simply and without impunity stealing fruit off his stand and walking away without paying for it, the fruit-seller doused himself with gasoline and set himself on fire…….the rest is history as essentially Egypt was thrown into a revolution.
