A Muslim woman has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a man in Barnsley Town Centre yesterday while yelling “Kill, Kill, Kill.” She also allegedly tried to stab several others, including a window cleaner and market stall holder, before she was arrested.
Daily Mail (h/t Maurice) Ayaan Ali, 28, allegedly chased the man through the town with a kitchen knife before stabbing him in the shoulder as terrified shoppers dived into nearby stores.
Officers have now confirmed the incident ‘was not an act of terrorism’ and there was ‘absolutely no information whatsoever to suggest this was a group attack’. Ali has also been charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
Chief Superintendent Scott Green said: ‘There remains a lot of speculation and rumour on social media, much of which is creating a lot of fear and distress locally. ‘We can now confirm definitively that this was not an act of terrorism. I can clarify is that at this stage there is absolutely no information whatsoever to suggest that this was a group attack.” (So its only terrorism if it’s a group attack? Idiot)
“We would therefore ask the public to stop reinforcing the rumour that there were multiple people involved.” (I guess he never heard of Muslim lone wolves committing acts of terror all over the world)
Express Abdul Razzaq, 43, (below) confronted the woman after she produced a huge kitchen knife in Barnsley town centre and shouted “kill, kill, kill, kill” as she stabbed one man in the shoulder and then walked around the busy streets.
Mr Razzaq followed the 6ft-tall woman, who was dressed in Muslim clothes but did not have her face covered, and alerted police to where she was in the town’s railway station. He said he then convinced her to put down the knife before police officers grabbed her and made the arrest. Mr Razzaq said the woman told him: “I’m no terrorist.”
Notice how the media don’t indicate that there was anything Islamic about the attack.
