What can I say, “Payback’s a bitch.” But unlike so many of the vehicle jihad attacks by Muslims, there were no fatalities this time. A car allegedly slammed into worshippers outside a mosque in Cricklewood, London, in what police are investigating as a possible anti-Muslim attack.
Daily Telegraph (h/t Colin W) Police said there were reports that the people in the car — three men and a woman all in their mid-twenties — were behaving “anti-socially, drinking and allegedly using drugs”. The group was asked to leave the private car park however they then reportedly drove near the centre where the driver and passengers were involved in a “confrontation” with a group of Muslims visiting the Islamic centre.
It is alleged that Islamophobic comments were made by those in the car. The car then reportedly sustained minor damage as a result of the comments (did Muslims damage the car?) and it sped off, colliding with three people.
Three people – including two men in their 20s and a man in his 50s – were taken to hospital but their injuries are not life-threatening. The Hussaini Association, which had organized a lecture at the Al-Majlis Al-Hussaini mosque in Cricklewood, North West London., said the victims ‘were indiscriminately mown down in a suspected premeditated Islamophobic attack’. Taunts of ‘dirty Muslims’ could be heard coming from the car, which contained three men and one woman, according to Hassan Naddi, head of security for the group.
