IF THEY DO: As always, the media virtually ignore the hundreds of Hamas rockets being fired into civilian areas of southern Israel, but just let Israel try to retaliate, and all hell breaks loose – condemnation of Israel for striking back with stories about how ‘Mighty Israel strikes the poor, quivering Palestinian population.’
As reported by The Times of Israel, Tuesday, “at least 108 people were hospitalized in Israel over the past two days for wounds and shock caused by the massive rocket bombardment of Israeli towns by Gazan terror groups.”
BNI readers probably first learned about this here on Monday: ISRAELI DEFENSE FORCES given green light for heavy retaliation after Hamas fires 300 rockets at Israeli civilians
IF THEY DON’T: It is being reported that Israel has agreed to a ceasefire with Hamas…which has angry Israeli demonstrators burning tires and blocking roads near Sderot in protest of stopping IDF retaliation against terror groups that regularly launch rockets into their residential neighborhoods in Southern Israel.
Israel gets coerced (usually by the UN) into a ceasefire with Hamas whenever they strike back against the terrorists a little too hard. This doesn’t sit well with the Jewish residents of these areas that are always the target of Hamas rocket barrages.
Not only that, the premature ceasefire has caused Israel’s hardline Defense Minister, Avigdor Liberman, to resign.
MORE ABOUT LIBERMAN HERE
Palestinians in the Gaza Strip celebrate Avigdor Liberman’s resignation as defense minister by handing out treats. Demonstrators also wave Palestinian flags and signs with Liberman’s head crossed out with the writing “Gaza toppled Liberman.”
Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of terror group Hamas in the Gaza Strip, welcomes Avigdor Liberman’s resignation as defense minister as a “defeat” for Israel. “His resignation announcement is an acknowledgement of defeat and helplessness versus the Palestinian resistance,” Haniyeh is quoted as saying by Hebrew-language media.
