The Middle East Forum has learned that New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy will conduct a State of the State town hall event at the Islamic Center of Passaic County (ICPC) in northern New Jersey tonight—a mosque with a long history of pro-Hamas leadership and a radical imam, Mohammad Qatanani.
Middle East Forum (h/t GaryK) The ICPC’s current imam, Mohammad Qatanani, has terrorist connections galore: His own lawyer admits that he was a member of the student chapter of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan, and the N.J. Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness identifies Qatanani as a Hamas supporter.
As if that were not enough, here are some excerpts from his extremist sermons throughout the years:
On Palestine: “Palestine is for Palestinian people, not for Ukrainian people, not for New Yorkian (sic) people.”
On Israelis and Jews: “They are all immigrants, coming from where? Not even from the Bani Israil [Israelites] Not from the Bani Israil. Immigrants from Ukraine, Poland or New York.”
On the Jewish connection to Jerusalem: “There is nothing to prove the presence of that Temple under or above al Aqsa.”
On Jewish indigeneity in Israel: “…This land called Palestine has been an Arab land from 4,000 years ago before the presence of Abraham.”
On the Holy Land Foundation trial convictions: “oh Allah improve the matters of our community, subhanahu wa ta’ala to assist our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land Foundation, ask oh Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala to assist them and to remove the difficulty that they have been inflicted with with all of the brothers and sisters in this country, oh Allah to prove them non-guilty.”
On Christians: “The people who commit such atrocity [hypocrisy] will be the swiftest in punishment on the day of judgment…the hypocrites and those who have disbelieved, from the followers of Jesus peace and blessing be upon him have disbelieved after the table came down, and the people of Pharaoh will be swiftly punished as well and they’ll be amongst the hypocrites. And Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala says about the hypocrites, the hypocrites are in the lower pits of hellfire.”
On Muslims at war: “Oh Allah assist our brothers and sisters in Filastin, and Iraq and Chechnya. O Allah remove occupation and oppression…”
The Middle East Forum has asked Governor Murphy and Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver if they believe it’s appropriate for state officials to meet with a radical Islamist imam like Qatanani. MEF has received no reply.
If you believe American elected officials should know better than to consort with Hamas supporters, let Governor Murphy and his office hear your voice.

Unfortunately, a far-left New Jersey judge decided not to deport him.
Clarion Project Mohammad Qatanani, was accused by the Department of Homeland Security of lying on his green card about his conviction in Israel of being a Hamas terrorist. The Department of Homeland Security is seeking his deportation.
The DHS says he “engaged in terrorist activity” and is guilty of “material misrepresentation” and “engaging in unauthorized employment … by allowing an out-of-status alien to reside with him.” It also described a “highly dubious” transfer of thousands of dollars to the West Bank.
“It is certainly suspicious when a person who has been convicted of being a member of, and providing services, to Hamas, who has personal ties to a Hamas militant leader, and a Hamas fundraiser also sends undisclosed cash to the West Bank,” a 2008 DHS court filing states
