Apparently, even a Muslim murderer set for execution can delay the process by making absurd religious demands. Can’t you just smell a designated terrorist group CAIR-appointed litigation jihadist behind this nonsense?
Source Attorneys for Dominique Hakim Marcelle Ray (below), a Muslim, filed a lawsuit against the Alabama Department of Corrections, and asked the judge to halt his execution while the court considers his claim.
He is scheduled to be executed at 6 pm CST, on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at the Holeman Correctional Facility in Atmore, Alabama. 42-year-old Ray is convicted of raping murdering 15-year-old Tiffany Harville on July 15, 1995, in Dallas County, Alabama and has spent the last 19 years on death row. Ray slit her throat and then stabbed her after she threatened to report the sexual assault.
The Alabama Department of Corrections has agreed to not have a prison chaplain present during the execution. Ray sought to have an Islamic cleric in the execution chamber with him, however his request was denied. Under Alabama prison rules, inmates can only have their own spiritual adviser witness the execution through the window of an adjoining room.
Alabama has since stated that they are willing to forgo having the Christian chaplain present in the execution chamber. Dominque is seeking a stay of execution, arguing violation of his religious rights.
In February 1999, Ray also was tried and convicted for the February 4, 1994 murder of Earnest and Reinhard Mabins, two brother ages 13 and 18, whom he shot to death in their home, for which he received a life sentence.
