Hard to understand why anyone who dares tell the truth about this cult posing as a religion would continue to use Facebook. Not surprisingly, designated terrorist group CAIR is the reason Raritan Township Deputy Mayor Louis Reiner was forced to resign for this Facebook meme about Islam. Note: he is not denigrating Muslims, just the violent belief system they follow.
Louis Reiner stepped down from the appointed post, effective Sept. 26 and, as reported by NJ.com, the Township Committee passed a resolution Tuesday appointing fellow elected committeeman, Mike Mangin, to serve the remainder of Reiner’s post. Reiner remains on the committee until his term expires.
Reiner shared a meme in September that showed a “mushroom cloud” explosion with the caption: “Some cancers must be treated with radiation. Islam is one of them.” The post was deleted but screen captures of the image ignited a firestorm of criticism, started by CAIR.
The Raritan Township Muslim-sympathizing Democratic Club called for Reiner to resign in a statement that said, “The hate speech that is spewing from Committeeman Lou Reiner’s mouth and his Facebook posts can not and should not be tolerated.”
The communications director for the state chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) also said Reiner “owes the Muslims of New Jersey an apology” in a letter published last month by TAPinto. (You can be sure, as they always do, CAIR threatened the township with a lawsuit if they didn’t force the resignation of the Deputy Mayor)
Abdul Alim Mubarak-Rowe, Communications Director Council on American-Islamic Relations, NJ Chapter, wrote:
It’s most unfortunate that Lou Reiner’s comments as reported by TAPinto are nothing more than religious bigotry and ignorance wrapped in false patriotism.
The conflict between Saudi Arabia and Yemen has been fueled by external western military support to Saudi Arabia which has created another major humanitarian crisis in Yemen. Rather than blame Islam for the attack on Saudi oil refineries, Mr. Reiner should reevaluate his blind support of the President’s policies which has exacerbated already existing tensions in that part of the world.
Also, Mr. Reiner owes the Muslims of New Jersey an apology, and he would be better enlightened if he visited his local mosque and get to know his neighbors. (HAH!)
Here is the meme Reiner should have posted:
CAIR is relentless in its attacks on free speech. Here is the latest: CAIR calls for resignation of another New Jersey state official over Islamophobic, Racist, and Xenophobic Tweets
The New Jersey chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NJ) today called for the resignation of another Islamophobic state official — Sussex County Republican chairman Jerry Scanlan.
One of the shared memes, from July 19, described four freshman Democratic congresswomen of color as the “Wh***s of Babble-on.” One retweet shows the 9/11 attack in New York and asks, “How did we go from this to being afraid of offending Muslims.”
And then there is this one: CAIR Condemns Indiana GOP Candidate’s Islamophobic Facebook Posts
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned Greencastle, Ind., city council candidate Haywood Ware for a series of Islamophobic Facebook posts and called for that candidate to issue an immediate apology.
“Mr. Ware should apologize immediately and make a good faith effort to reach out to the local Muslim community in Greencastle to help dispel his bigoted misconceptions about Islam,” said CAIR Government Affairs Director Robert McCaw.
