The attack, which took place on Sunday in the heart of Paris’s 13th arrondissement, was filmed from the window of the building, allowing for police to identify and arrest the perpetrators just one day later, the French newspaper Le Parisien reports.
Voice of EuropeThe Muslim thugs from Libya, were arrested by railway police on Monday evening in the prefect of Seine-Saint-Denis – a Parisian ‘No-Go Zone’ suburb mainly populated by Muslim migrants from the Middle East and Africa.
After noting that “the two individuals corresponded in all respects to the physical and clothing description of the perpetrators of the theft,” as the police told Le Parisien, the officials decided to conduct a routine check on the individuals. Police then immediately arrested the pair who claimed to be homeless Libyans after they failed to produce any valid form of identification.
According to a source close to the case, one of the suspects “tried to pretend to be a minor” while the other admitted to robbery. The case is just the latest in a number of violent attacks and robberies on elderly people across Europe.
