RAIR Foundation USA interviewed head of the Danish Stram Kurs (Hard Line) party Rasmus Paludan in the wake of his arrest last month for “racism.” Paludan, a trained attorney and former university professor, is a fearless activist who fights against the influence of Islam on the West.
RAIR Foundation Rasmus Paludan, head of the Danish Stram Kurs party, was sentenced to jail as well as finedin July in Copenhagenfor the crime of “racism” based on his remarks criticizing Islam. Paludan is a well-known advocate for Western values and is an outspoken opponent of Islamic influence and Communism on Western culture.
Britain First Lawyer and anti-Islamization activist Rasmus Paludan calls Islam ‘a culture of losers’, wants it banned from Denmark, and advocates mass deportations to protect his country’s ‘ethnic, cultural, religious, linguistic and normative homogeneity’.
This self-described ‘soldier of freedom, protector of the weak, guardian of society, light of the Danes’ last year organized more than 50 demonstrations, many in heavily Islamised neighbourhoods including Nørrebro in Copenhagen. Paludan’s videos of Quran stunts’, in which he throws a Quran around, garnishes it with bacon or sets light to it, have earned him a huge following among young Danes.
“There are two things in Denmark that are completely legal, but which no one dares to do: To defile the Koran by burning it, throwing it or putting bacon in it, and to draw the prophet Muhammad. The reason is that the risk of being attacked or killed is very high. We do not believe that assailants and murderers should decide where the limits of free speech should be, and therefore we think it is important to do just that.
RAIR Foundation Paludan, who “represented the last blasphemy case in Denmark,” is notorious for holding rallies which include burning the quran. It was at one of these rallies on Constitution Day on June 5th in the migrant area of Gellerupparken that a “52-year-old Lebanese Muslim” attempted to kill the political leader, charging at him with a knife.
The Muslim aggressor was shot and injured by police after he ignored a warning shot. The neighborhood subsequently erupted into riots “where stones were thrown and fireworks were fired at the police,” as reported at Danish outlet DR.
The following video from October 2019 highlights Antifa and jihadists physically attacking Paludan. Police and his body guards had to rush him out of the Islamic dominated area of Nørrebro, Denmark after he burned a Qur’an in an act of protest against the ongoing assaults on Danes and free speech in his country:
Despite the ongoing political persecution, Paludan is doubling down and holding another Koran-burning event on August 28 “in the Muslim immigrant-dense and so-called particularly vulnerable area Rosengård in Malmö.”
In October, RAIR observed: “His [Paludan’s] tactics, while provocative, lay bare the willingness of some to respond with violence.” Less than a year later, a man attempted to murder the political leader, and in response, the media has protected the perpetrator and all-but-ignored the following riots that left police officers injured.
Rasmus Paludan explained that the incident with the stabbing and the riots have been all but ignored by the press, who is much more interested in delving into Paludan’s “racism” arrest.
