Long rumored dead, Osama bin Laden’s former second-in-command and now Al-Qaeda chief, Ayman Al-Zawahiri, has resurfaced in a video released to mark the 9/11 terrorist attacks’ anniversary.
Al-Qaeda’s As-Sahab media released an hour-long video of Zawahiri, which is mostly dedicated to Palestine, but Zawahiri also makes a mention of Kashmir in his speech. This is the second time in recent weeks that al-Qaeda has talked about Kashmir. Earlier, the al-Qaeda in its congratulatory message to Taliban for Afghanistan takeover had called for the liberation of Kashmir. There are apprehensions in India of a terrorist spillover from Afghanistan into Kashmir after Taliban takeover.
