Lori Saroya was previously the founder and executive director of the Council of American-Islamic Relations’ Minnesota Chapter and from 2016 to 2018 was a board member for the national CAIR. In 2018 she resigned as a board member of CAIR and in 2021 was sued for defamation by CAIR.
ReformCAIR In her answer to the lawsuit, Saroya alleged a culture of corruption, sexual harassment, and “hush money” payments within CAIR and its affiliated chapters. CAIR dropped the lawsuit in January 2022 before it would have been obligated to reveal more information about its operations via the discovery process.
Ms. Saroya, who had founded the Minnesota chapter of CAIR before being asked by CAIR to serve on its national board in 2015, resigned from CAIR in May 2018 after the organization’s Executive Director, Nihad Award, displayed unwelcome and inappropriate conduct toward her.
She is among a growing chorus of former CAIR personnel and other Muslim-Americans around the country who have spoken out about the conduct they’ve experienced and witnessed at CAIR. CAIR also sought a Court order prohibiting Ms. Saroya from speaking out about her concerns about sexual harassment, discrimination and fundraising practices at CAIR, and alleged that she had breached the confidentiality agreement that it required her to sign when she commenced her employment with CAIR.
CAIR’s withdrawal of its lawsuit against Ms. Saroya comes while her motions for Court orders requiring the organization to turn over documents and other evidence that it had been withholding were pending before the Court. CAIR’s decision to drop its case comes before any of the sworn depositions of its officers and Board members about the subject matter of Ms. Saroya’s statements had taken place.

Not totally related, but thought I’d share this:
St John of Damascus (675 – 749 AD) was the very first Christian critic of Islam. He made a good point at the hypocrisy of Muslims accusing Christians of idolatry since Muslims kiss a black stone they foolishly attribute to the patriarch Abraham (even though there is zero evidence of Abraham ordaining anything of the kind).
“They [Muslims] furthermore accuse us of being idolaters, because we venerate the cross, which they abominate. And we answer them: ‘How is it, then, that you rub yourselves against a stone in your Ka’ba and kiss and embrace it?’ . . . And they are embarrassed, but they still assert that the stone is Abraham’s. Then we say: ‘Let it be Abraham’s, as you so foolishly say. Then, just because Abraham had relations with a woman on it or tied a camel to it, you are not ashamed to kiss it, yet you blame us for venerating the cross of Christ by which the power of the demons and the deceit of the Devil was destroyed.’ This stone that they talk about is a head of that Aphrodite whom they used to worship and whom they called Khabár.”
(This is taken from St John’s writing known as “Heresies in Epitome: How They Began and Whence They Drew Their Origin, the Heresy of the Ishmaelites”).

My friend
Any belief in the cross’s healing powers is idolatry. You might prefer saying the cross or crucifix is a symbol of Jesus Christ – that’s why we venerate this symbol. That would sound better.
Muslims may kiss a black stone but we don’t venerate it. Kaaba is generally not mentioned in our prayers.
Muslims only face the direction of Mecca because Muhammed told us.
We just follow everything he did.

“We just follow everything he did.” Does that include marrying 9-year-old girls? Just wondering as I LOL at the supposed “wisdom” you as a non-believer in Christ offer toChristians re their veneration of the Cross of Christ. “Ave, Crux, Spes Unica.”

I think you are confusing me with Roman Catholics.
Catholics venerate “icons” (idols of Mary and Jesus) to the point of idolatry (while also ignoring the numerous biblical verses like Acts 17:29 that forbid making images of Jesus or the Godhead… Catholics are in direct violation of that verse due to their graven man-made images of God the Father, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ).
Roman Catholicism is a mixture of the old Greco-Roman religion with parts of the Old and New Testaments. It’s not Christian by any biblical sense of the word (they don’t even believe scripture is the final authority for Christian conduct and they also deny that the New Testament conduct only applies to Christians and they believe in the heresy of dominionism and the anti-New Testament practice of setting up earthly theocracies, which was condemned by Jesus in John 18:36).

Thanks for the clarification.
I do not dislike the Catholic church and I certainly don’t dislike Roman Catholics. They have their own views on why they venerate those symbols.
You’re wise for your young age. That’s what I like about you. I was reckless and intemperate in my youth.
Peace.
