As a fundamentalist conservative Christian I DON’T believe either premarital sex or abortion are unforgivable sins. Serious yes, but not unforgivable. Nor even is murder. I had a pastor who’d gone to prison for murder who was unexpectedly paroled. He’d found Jesus in prison and had become a minister there expecting to remain there for the rest of his life. But God does work in strange ways. He was an excellent Pentecostal pastor teaching the power of God’s love and forgiveness while not excusing sin and its consequences.
If only she had met such a pastor maybe things would be different.

And while there is nothing wrong with activism itself, in fact activism is one of the cornerstones of democracy, and is a catalyst for positive social change, the problem is that any activism that comes from the Islamic quarter is always and invariably directed towards advancing and spreading the religion. (This practice is called “dawah”.) And in fact this is the sole reason for the activism existing in the first place.
And it can be noticed too that any social and political activism in the Middle East, such as uprising against despotic dictatorships, almost always results in the rise and growth of Islamic fundamentalism and fundamentalist movements in such countries. This should prove beyond any reasonable doubt my point. Why is this? This is because Islam is an activist philosophy at its core and it espouses a radical philosophy of conquer by any means necessary. Thus virtually all activism in the Middle East and Central Asia should be viewed with suspicion because it is likely to be founded by Islamic agitators rather than by true libertarians.
