Ex-Muslim Harris Sultan dives deep into the historical interactions between Muslims and Jews, from the claims of Muslim apologists to the realities of ancient Jerusalem and the narratives surrounding the so-called kind treatment of Jews under Islamic rule, contrasting these with historical documents and the Quranic perspective.
Commenter @johnhale3 replies: “My family is from Yemeni Jewish Heritage. My grandparents had to live by many of these rules up to 70 YEARS AGO. Their synagogues in Yemen were always in basements as they could be no taller than the lowest Mosque in town. They were not allowed to wear shoes. They were not allowed to ride on a horse or donkey if a Muslim was in sight. They always had to cross the street when a Muslim was on their path. They would be subject to pogroms and killings and their orphaned kids would be taken and converted as “a favor to the children.” This was not the ANCIENT world. This was in our times.”
