Trudeau’s Attack on Free Speech
The evidence is piling up. The most dangerous aspect of the UN Compact on Migration is not the section that suggests a new set of migrant rights. It is the attack on Free Speech contained in the Compact. Here’s why that topic is so important to Canadians.
Democracy cannot survive without the protection provided by Free Speech. And the Islamic religion cannot survive in an environment, where true unfettered Freedom of Expression exists. Democracy and the Islamic religion cannot exist side-by-side, in the same environment. They are so incompatible with one another that ‘one would have to go’.
The signing of the UN Compact is only Trudeau’s second attack on Freedom of Expression. The first attack is contained in the Guide to the Canadian Charter of Freedoms and Rights. This guide was published without specifying the need for it. If it was an accurate guide, then there would be no issue with it, however there are two sections within its text that are very questionable. A) The guide starts out fine with the following statement …
”This guide explains the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (the Charter) and its importance in the daily lives of Canadians. This content is not legal advice and should not be taken as legal interpretation of the provisions of the Charter.”
B) The reason for that caution right at the beginning soon becomes obvious. Here are the second and third paragraphs, from the first page of the guide …
“The Constitution is the supreme law of Canada; all other laws must be consistent with the rules set out in it. If they are not, they may not be valid. Since the Charter is part of the Constitution, it is the most important law we have in Canada.”
“However, the rights and freedoms in the Charter are not absolute. They can be limited to protect other rights or important national values. For example, freedom of expression may be limited by laws against hate propaganda or child pornography. Section 1 of the Charter says that Charter rights can be limited by law so long as those limits can be shown to be reasonable in a free and democratic society.”
C) Now jump forward to Fundamental Freedoms – section 2. Below is the text from the last paragraph and this is where the carefully hidden deception begins. Note that this statement contains the word “sometimes”. They had to include this word, because there is one very specific case, where our government cannot limit our Freedom of Expression. Specifically, the government cannot prevent a Canadian citizen from speaking the truth. It does not matter in the least, if some individual or group feels that a statement is hate speech, we remain free to express any thought or idea that is true.
“Even though these freedoms are very important, governments can sometimes limit them. For example, freedom of expression may be limited by laws against hate propaganda or child pornography because they prevent harm to individuals and groups.”
D) I’d like you to note a second aspect of the above statement. Did you notice that the author of this statement, chose to equate ‘hate propaganda’ and ‘child pornography?’.
Can you think of anything worse than a comparison with child pornography?
Can you think of anything that the two have in common, that would justify our government’s making that comparison?
Were they trying to imply that there’s such a thing as good and bad child pornography, in addition to good and bad hate speech?
As I mentioned above, the UN Compact on Migration was not Trudeau’s first attack on Free Speech. As much as the Liberals would like to limit our right to speak the truth, they cannot. At least not without first changing the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Will they try to do that? Recall what I said at the start of this letter about Democracy and the Islamic religion. The Islamic religion cannot survive in Canada, provided that its citizens are free to speak the truth about it. On the next page I’ve pulled together a few examples, where elements of the Islamic religion are very much at odds with Canadian law. These Arab Muslim edicts are known as Sharia Law, and unlike our Democratic Western laws, they have not changed since they were first written approximately 1400 years ago.
If they seem barbaric to you, it is because they are. If you never want to see even one of these laws enacted in Canada, then guard your Freedom of Expression with your life.

1. Muslims are to subjugate the world under Islam (Quran 9:29).
2. Criticizing Muhammad or denying that he is a prophet is punishable by death.
3. Criticizing or denying Allah is punishable by death.
