An Iranian woman’s personal story about her long, hard journey away from Islam
To BNI readers: I received this from a woman who left Islam and all that she had to go through in order to do that. It tells of what happens to a happy and relatively free society when fundamentalist Islam takes over.
I was born in Tehran in 1977 right before the Islamic revolution. My family is a nominal Muslim family. I was never forced to fast and pray and very few people in my extended family fasted and prayed anyway.
But after the Islamic revolution in Iran we, children had full on Islamic education in schools. We were forced to wear a nun-like attire in our all-girl-schools and we had Quran and religion classes several times a week. Every morning we were forced to gather in the school yard 30 minutes prior to the start of our classes to chant “death to America” and “death to The Soviet Union” and “death to Israel”.
When I was 4 years old the brutal Iran vs Iraq war started which lasted all of my childhood. I am very familiar with what many Israelis and now Gaza people go through right now. Both Saddam Hussein and the Iranian Islamic regime used arial bombing of civilian neighbourhoods and always a couple of months per year we had to be on the run to bomb shelters (which weren’t really shelters, but the basements of our own houses).
Standing in long lines for food and staying away from school because of bombings, taped windows to avoid their shattering if a bomb hit close, and war propaganda and “martyr” processions on TV were part of our daily lives for 8 long years.
It was a brutal war, a real war, nothing like this sissy, wimpy pseudo-wars that Western countries fight these days with cameras ready and journalist screaming: “War crime! Massacre, Genocide!” any time that a civilian’s nose starts to bleed and soldiers are more afraid of killing the wrong people accidentally than being killed themselves!
In that war two monsters, Saddam and Khomeini had a serious go at each other and spared no one! Many of my relatives who lived in the south west of the country became war refugees and lost everything. All of my male cousins also participated in the war as drafted soldiers. A few got lightly wounded. Luckily non perished. But the war took more than 1 million lives and it was all for nought.
Considering this current conflict in Gaza I must say, when I hear clueless people sanctimoniously claim that Israel has committed war crimes because a few kids in that overpopulated area have gotten killed I laugh! I don’t try to minimise it by with all due respect these people don’t know what they are talking about! That is what war looks like! But they are so naive and sheltered these Europeans of today that they look at a normal war and they think this is what a war crime looks like!
A memo to such people: “Hey guys! This is war! In a war people are SUPPOSED TO DIE!!! It is a nasty affair; I know! But that’s how it is! You win the war by killing a lot more of your enemy than they kill of your side! Disproportionate fatality is not war crime! It is a sign that one side is winning and the other is losing! That’s all!” (End of rant!)
It was the Iranian regime which metastasised the “Palestinian problem”. Before the Islamic revolution, political Islam was simmering under the radar and was not fashionable in the Middle East. But after the Khomeini revolution suddenly all the kooks and fanatics found out that they can realise their sick Islamo-pchycotic dreams and started to come out of the woodwork all over the Middle East. Khomeini learned a lot from Muslim Brotherhood and from the beginning Iran was a huge supporter, financed and booster of Hamas, but despised the PLO.
After the Islamic revolution life became gradually very difficult for Iranian people. I was one year old when the revolution happened. Many at first thought that Khomeini in keeping with his promises will go back to Qom and will teach Islamic jurisprudence and will leave the job of running the country to experts. The stupid leftists in our country did the exact same mistakes that the Lefties in the west are making today. They thought Khomeini was just an Anti-Western, Anti- colonialist political leader and downplayed his manifest Islamic fanaticism and his appalling views on women and secular freedoms.
But when he got what he wanted he didn’t keep his promise of staying out of politics and utterly destroyed the Lefties and all that they held dear! A few of my foolish young cousins were involved in leftist movements. One of them ended up being arrested at the age of 20 and spent 7 years in the regime’s prisons under torture and appalling conditions.
Before women knew it Khomeini ordered them to cover themselves. Any woman who disobeyed risked having acid thrown into her face by motorcycle-riding Islamic thugs. Soon they threatened women into submission. The saddest thing was the fact that despite all these efforts to cover women up, women were always sexually harassed in public. This is a pandemic problem throughout the Islamic world. Women have no peace and quiet when they walk outside. In Iran when a woman is sitting in public transport or walking on the streets she is often groped, touched, pinched and fingered by men, and indecent and rude sexual remarks whispered in her ear.
I remember many years ago when the government announced that from then on, in buses, female and male passengers were to be segregated and women were to go and sit on the back of the bus which was much smaller and we had to stand while men were comfortably sitting. Some westerners might think we must have been insulted to be sent to the back of the bus like Rosa Parks. But, believe me! The prospect of being rid of men’s groping and touching and harassing was good enough to make up for the insult of being sent to the back of the bus!
When I was older I realised that having to contend with “moral police” who enforced the Islamic rules was a daily struggle. If we wore our scarves not tightly enough and some hair showed we risked being reprimanded, fined, or even jailed, depending on the mood of the enforcer!
Iranian people who are a very fun-loving and party-loving people had to be very careful not to make too much noise in their parties and family gatherings in their own private homes, because otherwise the “moral-patrol” could come and break into their houses with guns and arrest everybody and search every inch of their house in the process, which meant they might find their contraband: homemade vodka, playing cards or backgammon sets (banned due to Islam’s ban of all gambling), “illegal” pop-music tapes (and later CDs), and their “illegal” Hollywood VHS tapes and DVDs) all obtained in the black-market.
Most Iranian people owned at least some of these things secretly in their homes. But if the moral police came to their house to arrest them for partying, it could lead to them being jailed and then condemned to several lashes of the whip.
This same thing happened to my family once when I was about 11 years old. We held my cousin’s wedding in our house. I was sent to bed early, while the party was still going on, but the next morning when I woke up I saw that my parents were not home and all of the cupboards and closets in our house were open and their content was thrown out on the floor.
I was shocked and didn’t know what had happened. But soon my old auntie who because of her age was spared the arrest came to our house to check on me and my sister and explained that the night before after I went to bed the “moral-patrol” came to our house, rang the doorbell and as my mom opened the door they pushed her to the ground and entered the house, arrested everybody, searched the house, confiscated all the non-Islamic items, including some vodka, and put everyone including the bride and groom in jail.
After a few weeks the participants were all condemned to several strokes of the whip. But got away unscratched by bribing the judge which as usual in Iran was a corrupt Mullah.
Even though my family was rather secular I was always interested in religion and spiritual things. In school I was taught the Quran, some Arabic language and fundamentals of the Islamic religion.
I didn’t know very much about Islam and the meaning of Quran. Even in very fanatical Islamic countries they never teach the most horrific parts of Islam to people openly. Even many brainwashed Muslims will be appalled by those parts. But every now and then our Islamic spokes people on TV or in schools let the mask slip and said things that even then as a child made me disgusted.
I remember one of our religion teachers used to pray in the class: “Oh God, please make all the kuffar to either become Muslims or kill them and wipe them from the face of the earth!” Most Iranians who still cling to Islam, but are nominal and peaceful, wrongly think that these horrific passages and Hadiths are not real!
They think Islam is what their saintly grandma practiced who just prayed and fasted and took care of the poor. They don’t know what the real thing is and when you confront them with the truth they don’t want to believe it. They usually say: “Oh! These are the nonsense that the Mullahs have invented to keep themselves into power and give their crimes a veneer of religiosity. But the Prophet and Imams (Shiite Imams) were not like that. They were good people!”
Unfortunately we Middle Easterners are not people of research and source-checking and documentation. We are people of mythology, hearsay, and wishful thinking. But I always cared to know the truth and didn’t want to fool myself and now that I had started to study Islam more at school I found it to be an appalling religion, and I must say then I didn’t even know half of what I know now!!
Anyway… At about this time as I was getting more and more disillusioned with Islam I met a girl in my school who is a very good friend of mine till today. She was from a hardline communist family. Her father had spent more than a decade in prison and just had gotten released from prison a few months before we met. Needless to say she was brainwashed to be an atheist by her family and she started to work on me right away. I lost my belief in God as the result of her influence and became a hardcore atheist for most of my teenage years.
At the age of 17 I had a supernatural experience, an epiphany. But I only found that out after I eventually read the Gospels. Seeing the sign of the cross and Jesus Christ was enough for me to know that God wants me to become a Christian. And I obeyed. I woke up around 8 and as soon as I opened my eyes I realized that I had to find myself a copy of the Bible.
But this is forbidden literature in Iran and Tehran is a huge city. Finding a copy of the Bible in Tehran can be harder than finding a needle in a haystack. The first clue that I had was a local Armenian church. Armenians are a local Christian minority who have lived as Dhimmies for centuries.
They have their own language and culture and Christian tradition. I entered this church and soon a church worker came to me and said something to me in Armenian which I couldn’t understand. I answered in Farsi: “Hi! I was wondering do you have any Bibles in Farsi for sale at your church?” As soon as he noticed that I am a Muslim and that I am looking for a Bible he got very agitated and asked me to leave the premisses immediately.
At that time I was not aware of how dangerous it was for him to have this conversation with me and I was a bit offended that at least he wasn’t more courteous when he kicked me out of the church. But later I found out what awaits Armenians who share their faith with the Muslims.
While I was leaving the church, near the gates of the church yard a guy who had heard my conversation with the church worker started to clandestinely call me to himself. He was standing near the gate and said: “Pssss, hey! You! Come here!” I went closer. Then he put a piece of paper in my hand. At first I thought he is a boy who wants to date me. I thought this guys wanted to give me his phone number. But when I went closer while slipping the piece of paper to me he said: “Here is the address of a place where you can get a Bible in Farsi.” and then he quickly went away.
I looked at the address. Luckily it was close by, only a few blocks away from that church. It was great since I was but a teenager and I had come out of the house under false pretext and had to be back home by noon. When I arrived at the address I noticed something really strange. This place was in downtown Tehran and this was around 10:30 in the morning in the middle of the week, but there was no one in that area! This was most unusual since Tehran is a bustling and crazy city where all the streets are always overflown with people and cars.
I found the place. It looked like a bookstore but it was close in midday and there were signs that showed that it must have been closed for a long time. For example the book covers on the shop window had turned yellow from the sunlight and the window was really dusty. I thought to myself: “Darn!!! It is closed down. Perhaps the authorities had found out that they were selling Bibles and closed them down!” I was very disappointed. I had no more clues left and I had to soon head back home.
So in my desperation I prayed to God like this: “God! You wanted me to become a Christian and I came all this way to obey you and get a Bible. This shop was my last clue. If I cannot get inside and talk to the owners of this shop right now I have to go home and maybe will never have a chance to go and look for a Bible again. So if you really want me to become a Christian you have to get me inside this place right now! The ball is in your court now! Amen!”
As soon as this prayer ended I noticed that two people walked to the side of the building of the bookstore and rang a doorbell and someone opened the door to them. I thought: “This is my chance!” and I jumped inside the building right behind them. When I got in the guy who had opened the door to us asked me: “Who are you?!” I said: “Someone at the Armenian church gave me your address and said that I can buy a Bible in Farsi here. Is that so?” The guy asked: “Are you a theology student? I said: “No! I am still in high school.” The man said: “Then I cannot sell you the Bible now.
I can give you a free copy of the New Testament after you come to our Bible classes for a while. But if you want to read the Gospels you can read them here now. But you cannot take one home” This was a safety measure for them. This place happened to be a secret church.
At the basement of this building Iranian Christians (mostly Muslim converts) met and worshipped and studied the scriptures. I simply couldn’t believe it! What a miracle!! I woke up that morning around 8 am with the decision to find a Bible in that huge megapolis of Tehran and by11 am, only three hours later not only I had a copy of the New Testament in my hand but I had found a small cell of secret Christians!!
I read the Gospels for a short while since I had to go home soon. You might guess my shock when I noticed the similarity of the environment described in the Gospels and the environment I saw in my dream and my amazement when I read about Jesus’ disciples hearing a rather similar call to what I heard in my dream the night before: “Come and follow me and I will make you the fisher of men!” This simply took my breath away and moved me very much!
I joined that church and attended the Bible classes anytime I could make up and excuse to leave the house. I learned later that a few years before two of the pastors of that church where murdered by the Islamic vigilantes connected to the government. One of them who was Armenian was just beaten to death on the street on his way home and the other one who was a Muslim convert was first abducted (probably to be pressured to revert back to Islam) and later his tortured and murdered body was found in a ditch in some back alley!
And mind you, back then, in 1990s there was much much much less persecution of the Christians. The government wasn’t actively looking to find Christian converts then. If they happened to notice that you have converted by accident or by your own admission you would have been in trouble, but as long as you kept it a secret nobody cared.
But from what I hear from Christian Iranians who come out of there in recent years they say that now the secret service is actively trying to infiltrate home churches by posing as Christians, and the believers don’t even dare to have a quite prayer meeting of two or three in their own houses. Needless to say the penalties for getting caught are much higher as well. This new wave of persecution started with Ahmadinezhad and “moderate” Hassan Rouhani has done nothing to stop it!
After a few months of secretly attending this underground church I finally decided to witness to my parents. As I said my parents were very nominal. They never prayed the Islamic prayers and never fasted. When they heard that I had become a Christian my father’s reaction was mild. He just thought that Christianity is just as nonsensical as the rest of the religions, but if that’s what floats my boat then so be it! He just advised me to avoid getting caught. And for him that was the end of it and he didn’t want to hear anything more about it.
But my mother who generally is a very domineering person couldn’t let it go that easily! She actively started to persecute me, not because she was such a faithful Muslim, but because she thought that my conversion to Christianity was some crazy, dangerous, reckless, and out of control behaviour. She thought that putting oneself in danger for the sake of any religion was unspeakable folly!
So she started to ground me and secretly follow me anytime I left the house, and even once she followed me right to the church when I had sneaked out of the house secretly and found the pastor of the church and started to shout obscenities at him and tell him :”How dare you put people’s children in danger like this?!” Poor pastor!
He tried very graciously to calm her down and explain to her that he has no right to turn me away if I myself come to seek the Lord. But my mother was having non of it! So after shouting and cursing and threatening she took me away from there and grounded me for a long time!
This all eventually came to a head when I fell in love with an Armenian boy who attended our underground church. In addition to many ex-Muslims, many Armenians who were tired of the dead, traditional, and liturgical Armenian church and were attracted to a more active and evangelical Christianity and wanted to share their faith with Muslims, also attended our church. I fell in love with one of them. He was a sweet, intelligent, and handsome young man and he liked me very much as well.
Somehow my mother found out about it. She never told me a word, but somehow found out the phone number of this boy and unbeknownst to me called him. Apparently she first invited him to meet with her in a cafe. In that meeting apparently like a mafioso she threatened him to stay away from me or else she will tip the religious police that he is seducing a Muslim virgin and then he will be in trouble.
For a while he disregarded the threats and didn’t tell me either. But eventually my mom kept on threatening and even went to the house of his parents in the Armenian neighbourhood downtown and in front of their neighbours and his parents threatened them all. She again said that she will go to the religious authorities and tell them that their son was seducing a Muslim virgin and then he will end up in jail or dead!
After this, his parents persuaded him to break up with me. In his fear he never said why he was breaking up with me. I couldn’t understand why and I was heartbroken. He was my first love and I couldn’t imagine living without him. Eventually a mutual friend told me about my mother’s role in this after he saw me agonizing so much.
This event really crushed me! I couldn’t believe it!!! My mother! My own mother who wasn’t even a Muslim fanatic had gone to a religious minority (and my beloved no less!!) and threatened him with the instrumentalities of that oppressive dictatorial and Islamic regime!
I NEVER EVER thought that she could be capable of anything so base, so disgusting, so thuggish! This event took my spiritual virginity away! I was disillusioned with everything in that country! Even with my own family! I hated Islam so much for turning people (even the nominal ones) into such ignoble people!
Needless to say my relationship with my mother was totally destroyed after that. When I confronted her about her actions she never apologised and till this very day she defends her actions as “necessary evil” and “for my own good”! I sank into a deep depression. I was hopeless.
But then a ray of hope appeared. My family had applied for green cards through my father’s brother several years back during Iran Iraq war. But immigration process being what it is took more than a decade. Now at about this time finally an answer came and all my family received green cards. But of course my parents were already happy with their lives in Iran. My father had a a successful business of his own and didn’t want to leave so they decided to send my sister and me to live in the US with our relatives.
Leaving Iran was one of the best things that happened to me. I lived a few years in the US and studies graphics design and finally could practice my Christian faith freely. There I met my husband who is from Finland. We got married and moved to Finland and now I live in Finland and have three children. I attend an International Church here and we have a few Iranian Christians and many other ex-Muslims in our congregation all with really colourful and interesting stories.
I believe Islam will cause such psychological trauma to the mind of the people who grew up in that culture that even those who are nominal are capable of acting like true believers when push comes to shove! They can be like a bag of nasty surprises. As I explained above, I learned this the hard way!
I believe however that the only antidote to the Islamic poison is Jesus Christ! You may not agree with this, but as long as the West keeps pushing away its Christian heritage it will have no weapon to neutralize Islam and it will eventually be devoured by its Muslims immigrant/invaders. Only a return to Europe’s Christian heritage can save us all!
To Bonni from BNI: Sorry for this long rant. I really appreciate your candor and boldness in what you publish on your website. I hope we always stick firmly to the truth and righteousness in all that we do to eradicate the cancer of Islam from this planet.

Bonnie,
I beg your patience. I know how disturbing this is to you. Should you not publish this, I defer. It is your website. I interact daily persons such as and for the most part do so quietly, but when I hear their arrogant speech and see their rude behavior in public I answer it.
It is entrely at your discretion and I shall still remain your good friend.
This is absolutely my last post to this person. He will not be responded to again.
You have my word.
Reader
Aussie, your volcanic mind and abuses are not to be restrained. It is well you leave this site.
You are to be thought not unlike two dogs in a fight. One the aggressor, the other its intended victim. When the master appears to separate them, it is likely he shall be bitten by both in the passion of their self interests. It is unfortunate the one should bite his master, but when the purposes of the one doing the restraining are lost in urgency of conflict, it does happen. Once quieted and removed from danger, the second is restored to his master and returned to hearth and home. The first is vanguished!
You are not so to be quieted.
Therefore:
Aussie says of my reply,
“But your rant serves only to emphasize why there should not only be ‘freedom of religion’, but also ‘freedom from religion’ “.
Aussie further says:
“I will not dignify that accusation, or your further sanctimonious diatribe.”
Aussie closes with the following:
“Our differences can wait until we deal with Islam, because if we fail to do that, we won’t have the opportunity to debate anything else;…” this comes immediately after begging off “trading insults!”
May I remind you, you are the one who threw down the guantlet!
You say I make baseless accusation, yet have no shame for your misrepresentation. I have not dismissed you, I engage you.
You are demeaning by the very nature of the unfathomable corruption of your spirit. You inform persons of nothing we do not already know, and as far as injuring Bonnie’s site your only purpose here is one of debasement.
Yet you Aussie, are the one who came upon here in the most insulting and derogatory manner, rampaging around like a bull in a china shop and on my part it shall not be tolerated.
Your remarks cannot not wait to be answered because you are the one that raised the awful spectre of unbelief and contempt with your callous disregard.
And, you have been doing this for a significant time of your life, troubling others even as you do here.
You came barging on this board with your deceitful rage and given careful reading and consideration, the lie that is in your remarks is openly revealed. You know nothing of our Founding fathers, or their principles, or the things they held dear. I am constantly amazed that persons such as yourself, deem themselves authority, when your critical remarks show you to be an ignorant man.
Too, you did digress from being atheist which you openly heralded deceitfully when you first appeared here. I didn’t accuse you of being evil. I said you are evil !
And never did I insinuate you were an atheist! I insist you are ignorantly misled and purposely mislead others that you are an atheist! All your education fails you. If you cannot agree that I correctly identified you as an agnostic which upon examination you submitted to, then you are purposely misleading.
Perhaps you would be more comfortable being called a seducer.
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse , deceiving , and being deceived .
”Bonnie is a warrior. We all may be confident of her in her single mindedness. She is loved of God even as others here for whom Christ died and rose again, yourself included. The difference between you and Bonnie is you purposely spread your poison with a malevolence swinging with both sides of the blade. You are a destroyer!
Bonnie is loved by so many of us here precisely because we ourselves have been loved, and we know the fount of that love.
Bonnie has an heritage you may only desire:
“But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen , the seed of Abraham my friend .” Bonnie is Jewish. Mark my words, God’s affection is upon the Jew and Israel and in fact the nations of the earth are going to be called to the place of reckoning precisely because of the love of God for them, but more because of the evil of nations round about them.
You may mock now! However, it is a hallmark of Jehovah God, “I will tell you before it may enter your hearts and minds, I will perform it, and then you shall know that I am He!” (paraphrase)
What is it you may ask, to become accomplished? I will tell you:
“I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.” That word plead, means to judge.
You are correct, my head is no more secure than yours should Islam prevail, except for one thing.
You remark about the Golden Rule. It is an eternal precept. God is eternal! In Torah, it is first seen in Leviticus 19. But indeed, the commandment precedes man and the first breath of man as it lies in the wisdom and righteous judgement of Eternal God, yet you raise your fist in the face of God as though somehow He offends you.
If I be the offender as you would have me to be, of what consequence is it? Are you the judge? Of what consequence is it except the God you do not know, the God you deny, judge righteously? Then, may I be condemned and you found righteous? It is written, “It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.” Shall the God you do not know separate us to settle our disputes? Shall one of us go to the side of the righteous and the other to go to the place of the wicked?
There is wickedness in this world. Everyting on this site attests to that!
The outcome for either of us may be Eternal Life, or the Second Death; Eternal Life of which both of us, indeed all, have been invited to partake of, and the Second Death of which all have been warned.
I know I am an eternal being. In your present capacity, you refuse to enter into Eternal Life of yourself, and would deny others who would. Your patronizing nonsense is a deceit. You may cast lots in your game of chance, but the disposing shall be of the Lord! Your eternity shall be that of your choosing, and certainly it shall be at the Lord’s discretion in answering your rebellion.
It is in the end, a matter of choice.
If indeed the Golden Rule is a binding of your desire, then consider a word from the same source.
It deals with the pride of man and of the flesh and originates from the enemy of your soul.
“Be not deceived ; God is not mocked : for whatsoever a man soweth , that shall he also reap.”
Bonni, It would be great if you could post more such stories or a story about muslim background believer churches, esp. here in the US, as it encourages muslims to leave islam, showing them they are not alone.
Muslims are just like he rest of us, good, bad and indifferent. Islam, however, is a culture and philosophy within a thin vaneer of religion, misstating various aspects of the Torah, Gospels and un-related myths (the sleepers in the cave) an Epiliptic madman heard over campfires and regurgitated imperfectly, that set child against parent and sibling as well with wild promises and vile threats. Islam is profoundy dualistic, forcing different treatments on different people by virtue of gender and beliefs. The doctrine is so self-contradictory that the 90+ suras/verses in the Koran (which Mohammed dictated) requires Muslims to obey and imitate Mohammed in all things for all time and used by Muslim clergy to elicit whatever actions the imam’s prefer from their followers. Studying Islamic doctrine unsupervised is strongly discouraged for fear of “misinterpretation,” but the real fear is the student learning the moronic contradictions and scientific impossibilities (the mountains holding up the sky) within this “perfect” doctrine. The eternal war between Sunni and Shiite rests on each sides acceptance of different, contrary hadiths about what Mohammed did or said – causing each to view the other as hypocrites, deserving death. The various sects within Islam are generally left alone until no weaker “enemy” is in evidence – then strong Muslims attack those who do not totally agree with their particular interpretation of Islamic doctrine. There’s no better evidence of the existance of satanic evil than Islam where none are safe – not even family!
Anyone with an ounce of humanity, must be sympathetic to this lady’s plight, and I agree with much of her assessment. War is hell, and innocent people get killed! I have met many other refugees from Sudan and other African countries, who tell horrendous stories of their escape from Islam. One couple in a mixed marriage (which was forbidden), feared for their lives, because of the prevalence of ‘honor killing’ in Islamic societies. However, they sought asylum in Australia, and abandoned their religions (Islam and Hinduism), both becoming Atheists.
I too am an Atheist, and have been a member of Atheist Societies for over 50 years. The main reason that people become Atheists, is simply because there is no evidence for any supernatural entity such as a God. Religion is simply ‘faith’, or belief without proof. I have no problem with people believing whatever they like, as long as they do not harm others – but clearly, Islam does great harm, especially to kaffirs. One of the reasons why Atheists become militant, is that they have often been hurt by religion, and sometimes very badly. That was my lot for many years, until I found that many religious people are not bigots, and even share many of my concerns.
I too have had similar experiences to the author, albeit with not quite the same imminent danger. A relationship was wrecked by a girlfriend’s father, who was a bigotted fundamentalist Christian. He accused me of being a “no-good Atheist, who would burn in Hell”, and forbade me to see his daughter again. There were many other instances too, like job applications and even a real estate purchase which went awry, all because I didn’t believe in the ‘right’ magical friend in the sky.
The problem for many Atheists, is that having spent a lifetime at loggerheads with their ‘old enemy’ Christianity, they have allowed Islam to slip beneath their radars. No doubt some Atheists, when they finally discard the ‘millstone’ of Christianity, also throw the baby out with the bath water, and discard some of their Judeo-Christian ethics as well. However, many Atheists are also Leftists, and have been indoctrinated by pernicious ideologies such ‘political correctness’ and unfettered ‘multiculturalism’. This is particularly true of people who have been through universities since the 1960s, especially in the humanities. In their narrow minded world-view, rejecting Muslims is simply ‘racism’, ‘bigotry’, or ‘Islamophobia’.
But the real problem, despite the higher education of many Westerners, is their abysmal ignorance of Islam. Most of them simply have not read the Quran or any of the other Islamic scriptures – and consequently, they are not able to make any real objective assessment of the threat Islam poses. It has nothing to do with a lack of religious belief! It is purely a matter of ignorance! I have met just as many ignorant Christians, as ignorant Atheists. In fact, the Christians are often worse, because many of them who have read the Quran, believe that all they have to do, is pray or ‘turn the other cheek’, and their Lord will intervene and protect them. But such actions are no defence against a ruthless enemy determined to kill them. It certainly didn’t help the 270 million or so people who have been slaughtered during the 1,400 year Islamic jihad, or the 23,723 killed since ‘9/11’.
I also agree that many Muslims too, do not understand their own religion; they haven’t read the Quran either, and simply listen to what their imam tells them. I would also assure the author that her ‘epiphany’ experience can be explained quite naturally by well understood psychological factors. Like many other religious people, it would appear that she does not have a background in science or psychology.
Nevertheless, while I might differ on some points, I agree with the general concern of the article about Islam. It is simply the greatest threat facing Western civilization, and it will indeed be a happy day, when the world is finally rid of this pernicious, totalitarian menace.
Derbyiter: You are right – we are all products of our time and environment. Cultural expectations are deeply rooted in most societies, including our own. However, in the West, our culture has undergone a massive transformation during the last century, and particularly since WW II. But admittedly, not everything has been for the better.
John Daniel: ‘Ode to joy’ is also one of my favorite pieces of music.
BNI: I’ve found ex-Muslims, and most Christians from Muslim countries, are simply good citizens. They understand the deceit, the bigotry and violence, on which Islam is founded; and they do not want it to happen in their new adopted country.
WildChild: What’s needed is a ‘political’ earthquake. Change will only come about through legislation.
Teresa: Some Atheists are angry because they are persecuted by dogmatic Christians (as I once was).
Annie: You might feel envious; but I and most of my Atheist friends are happy people. Generally, the only ones who aren’t, are those still suffering from having been persecuted for their non-belief. Believe me, we are not in the least bit envious – In fact, most of us feel ‘liberated’.
I might also remind you, it was not all that long ago, that Christians burned heretics at the stake.
I’m against all organized religion but a firm believer in God and Jesus-Christ.
God can manifest his presence in many ways. He alone chooses when the time is right. And when it happens, one knows.
I am privileged to be one of the chosen during my lifetime. My faith is unshakable. Many people who are atheists discover Jesus on their deathbed. My father is a prime example of this.
My father was a street criminal and I barely knew or saw him while growing up. At the age of 14, he was at the other end of the country, in a hospital, dying from bone cancer. His nurse wrote the letter for him. He asked me forgiveness for what he had done to me and mentioned that he had seen Jesus who asked him to write the letter.
Aussie friend,
You deserve a reply. At risk of course in your present state, the very real possibility is that I shall be carelessly dismissed as a “Fundamentalist Christian Bigot,” I am somewhat taken aback that Bonnie did not see through your post and your charade (Bonnie, I am not critisizing you, you are loved). I also know that Bonnie is very sensitive to controversy and the real possibility of accusations being thrown back and forth and also charges of Bible thumping being raised.
Let no illusion exist, persons such as myself and Linda Rivera and the others here that profess to know the Lord, are not empty vessels. We know what we believe and why we believe it.
To avoid Bonnies discomfort in managing this conversation I shall say only one thing.
You err!
Even yourself must acknowledge that. All of us here must agree, none of us know everything.
This includes you!
There is not one “atheist” anywhere in the world but that they may only truthfully say, I have no assurance there is no God! There very well may be?
This is precisely because person such as yourself do not know everything!
Indeed, were you to know everything you would be God.
You may only continue in your present state, acknowledging you just don’t know !
Therefore, I recommend you stop operating under a delusion as you insist others do, and properly introduce yourself as an agnostic which indeed you are.
Having said that, if you have operated under the delusion of being an atheist for as long as you insist you have, what other error exists in your life that needs attending to?
I know for a fact that there are people on posts such as this that say a quiet prayer for persons such as yourself that you might be saved.
Too, there are many of us here who love Bonnie and will just not tolerate the bigoted, narrow minded, intolerant, contemptible statements persons such as you make that not only injure yourself, but presents a danger to a person we love as well others.
You unmask yourself with your true purpose in the closing of your remarks.
Bonnie, this person is of the same spirit as those revealed on your site for their wickedness.
Christ makes clear, “Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in , and shall not be able .”
The soldier of allah murders without restraint, seeking to enter the kingdom of heaven in a false confidence in an imposter. They rape and maim and kill in anticipation of licentious indulgence in a kingdom that shall not materialize for them. Billboards and posters proclaim their false christ Isa, a prophet whom they love, both in America and abroad.
Listen Aussie, to the words of the Savior in reproof to those who err, ” Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are : Then shall ye begin to say , We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say , I tell you, I know you not whence ye are ; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.”
and:
” Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them , I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. ”
You are in danger Aussie, and you come boldly here and mock our sister in Findland, as well Bonnie who has entertained you by allowing your posting here!
Bonnie performs a work and we love her. But your work on the face of it is evil.
Yes, there is proof of God and his glory, beauty, and majesty is seen everyday in this world.
For those of us who know the Lord, assurance rests in our souls by the Holy Spirit of God he has so lovingly and marvelously given us.
You have no such assurance.
Jesus plainly has informed all of us here, including you, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold , but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.”
You have fallen among thieves and behave as a thief and are not to be commended but rather censured.
You are a proud man and know nothing and certainly are not capable of advising any other.
Bonnie, so many of us love you here. I hope that you will not think too harshly of me for my reply to this person.
He cares little about Muslims, Islam, or anything. Only for himself!
He knows exactly what he is doing!
Wow! My comments sure hit a raw nerve with Reader!
Ad hominem attacks like this, serve no purpose other than to destroy
the credibility of the blogsite, and that would be the last thing I’d want. I value BNI’s commentary as one of the few rational voices in a world increasingly dominated by a very irrational and violent ideology. And that’s what we should be concentrating on, not getting bogged down in petty arguments about our own religions – or lack thereof – or we will lose this fight!
As I said, “I have no problem with people believing whatever they like, as long as they do not harm others.” But your rant serves only to emphasize why there should not only be ‘freedom of religion’, but also ‘freedom from religion’ – and logically, you can’t have one without the other. That’s why the founding fathers of your Constitution had the wisdom to include the concept of ‘secularism’ (separation of religion and state), in the ‘religion clause’ in the First Amendment; and why our Constitution includes a similar clause as Section 116. Those men understood only too well that religious intollerance was one of the catalysts for the wars which literally tore Europe apart during the 14th to 16th centuries – and one of the reasons why the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for the New World.
But ironically, your Supreme Court has consistently ruled in favor of a ‘strong’ interpretation of ‘secularism’ (much to the disdain of the Religious Right), while our High Court has opted for a ‘softer’ approach. At the risk of sounding disloyal, I agree with the rulings of your courts to maintain “a wall of separation between the two”, as Jefferson wisely put it. If our parliamentary representatives rely on emotional arguements and beliefs without proof, rather than hard cold facts and logic, the legislative fallout can be disastrous – as can be seen from the trend of this blog – and what has happened already, in the erroneous ‘war on terror’. Of course, representatives will bring their own values to bear on issues, and that’s their right; but they should decide such matters on their merits, for the whole community, without favoring any one particular group or faith.
On the question of dismissing you as a “Fundamentalist Christian Bigot,” it might surprise you to know that I have friends from across the broad spectrum of belief, including some Christian Fundamentalists – but they are all nice people. My professional training compels me to take great care never to denigrate people without knowing a lot more about them.
Of course, “none of us [can] know everything,” but I didn’t say we could. This is the usual red herring used by devoutly religious people, trying to vanquish an Atheist. I’ve debated such people for decades, so it’s nothing new to me. I am a well educated man, and know enough to know that I couldn’t possibly know everything. That would be a ridiculous assertion.
Although I call myself an Atheist, you are right – I’m really an Agnostic. But most people don’t understand what that means (without knowledge of), so I use the more common term instead. And of course, I can’t give you an “assurance there is no God!” There might be, but no one knows. To claim, “there is no God”, would be a logical fallacy. It is virtually impossible to prove such a negative premise. But it is also just as ridiculous to claim that “there is a God.”
You accuse me of being “deluded”, but the God concept was invented by primitive people at the dawn of human history, to explain their existence and the world about them; and these beliefs have been handed down from generation to generation ever since. And they have stuck, because for all of human history, until very recent times, most people were scientifically
illiterate – and many still are.
Despite what religious people might believe, I would assert categorically, that it is impossible to know anything about any supernatural realm or entity, other than what we can imagine it might be. It is unknowable, because there is no known method of sensing or communicating beyond our natural limits, ie the observable universe. I spent most of my working life in the communications business, and believe me, there are no cyberlinks to heaven – or the 72 virgins in Paradise!
You insinuate that because I’m an Atheist, “other errors exist in [my] life that need attending to.” I will not dignify that accusation, or your further sanctimonious diatribe with a response, other than to refute a few erroneous statements.
You claim that I “mock our sister in Finland, as well as Bonnie.” That’s rubbish! I’m glad the Iranian lady has written of her experiences, and I’m glad that Bonnie has published it. It is just one more example of the inequitous treatment kaffirs could expect under Islam. And surely, that’s the purpose of this bolgsite – to inform people about Islam – not to wage ‘jihad’ against fellow kafirs.
You accuse me of being ‘evil’. Well, I guess there’s a first time for everything. Why is it that a person has to believe in magic to be good? I’d suggest that the Golden Rule was around for millennia before any of the world’s present religions were invented. Otherwise, Homo sapiens would never have survived its infancy.
I would be the first to admit that many of my Atheist friends also need to wake up and get their heads out of the proverbial sand. Many Leftists and Atheists are apologists or ‘useful idiots’ for Islam; but make no mistake, the mullahs also have them firmly in their sights. To protect themselves and their families and friends, they need to study Islam, and the best place to start is to read the Quran. Although, as one friend put it, “It’s the most boring book I’ve ever tried to read.”
However, many Christians also need to wake up, and learn a lot more about this pernicious ideology which seeks to subjugate us all. Currently, I am writing to a local Christian pastor, who believes that ‘interfaith dialogue’ with Muslims will solve our problems, and we’ll all then be able to live happily ever after. I only hope that he is across the sickening news reports of persecution of Christians, Yazidis, Kurds and Shias in Iraq by Suni jihadists of ISIS. But unfortunately, the pastor has only a superficial understanding of Islam, and firmly believes it is a ‘religion of peace’, probably because he has already been ‘got at’ by Muslim da’is (dawah presenters or proselytizers), and apparently his sister has converted to Islam.
Many people had their ‘wake-up call’ about Islam with the events of ‘9/11’, but I discovered the ‘dark side’ of that religion over 50 years ago; and ever since, I’ve been trying to educate people about the danger it poses. Back then, in the 1960s, I had many Muslim students from a number of Asian and African countries; and some of them were ex-Muslims, who told me horrific stories of life back home under Islam. Since then, I have visited Islamic countries, worked and lived with Muslims, and studied Islam extensively. But it has been an uphill battle to convince my fellow Australians (of all stripes), about the dangers Islam poses. On many occasions, I have been called a ‘racist’, a ‘bigot’ or an ‘Islamophobe’ – and mostly by other Atheists. But those insults (deliberately invented by the OIC to silence their opponents), are now like water off a duck’s back to me. In fact, I now welcome such rudeness, because it gives me the opportunity to reframe the accusation and attack the integrity of the accuser.
Whatever differences we might have, can we please let us simply agree to disagree, without trading insults. Atheists and Christians need to recognise that our differences pale into insignificance beside those we both have with Islam – and we need to be able to work together. I hate to use the analogy, but in war, the ‘enemy of my enemy is my friend’. Our differences can wait until we deal with Islam, because if we fail to do that, we won’t have the opportunity to debate anything else; and eventually, both Christianity and Atheism will disappear from human memory.
I am not emotional , Aussie.
I look at you with the steeled eyes of understanding.
I know precisely your motive.
But, I am not the one judging you.
My remarks did nothing to injure Bonnie’s website.
Truthfully, you value little except your own bigoted, narcissistic, understanding, which is contemptible.
By the way, if I had been the girl’s father, I would have run you off, too!
No one comes here to see a row between myself and a person such as you.
You will be gone long before Christianity shall disappear.
Your whole letter is one of denigration and contempt.
You think much too highly of yourself.
As I said, there are those of us here that are aware of the origin of your contempt.
You are of the same spirit as the Islamists you decry, they are thieves also.
Look carefully at the phrase “for ever” below.
Some of your Christian friends may even regognize the passage.
Being born again , not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
Your baseless accusations, and intolerant attitude, make any rational discussion with you impossible. You remind me of many people I have known in the past, who were also quick to dismiss anyone who didn’t share their particular faith or world view.
I will not demean this site further by debating endlessly with you about our respective beliefs. That would be completely counterproductive to BNI’s goal – To inform people about the dangers of Islam.
God bless this brave woman and all converts! She is correct in saying that by sidelining Christianity that the West has made itself vulnerable- I think it was very foolhardy to take the prayer to St. Michael the Archangel out of the Mass, but I say it myself regularly!
Every honest, rational and realistic person,no matter Christian or not, will acknowledge that Western civilisation has been supported and strengthened by Judeo- Christian morality.
I also believe that supernaturally, basing Western civilisation on Christ’s teachings has enabled Almighty God to help us!By turning away and denying Him our selfish leaders have deprived us of His grace and thus the West has become degenerate and weak.
We all need to PRAY!
very interesting story. So glad that she managed to become a christian and have a happier life. this is an inspiring story and God can trully do what seems the impossible!
This lady had a dream about Jesus. I’ve read that Jesus has been appearing in dreams in muslim countries and the dreamers are becoming Christians. I have a missionary friend in Ethiopia and she says the same about ex-muslims there.
Lady from Finland: Jesus-Christ will always be with you. Never despair in life. You are forever protected.
I agree with you when you say that most muslims don’t know much about their ideology. I was in a grocery store once, a few years ago, when I saw a woman in her sixties with a hijab. I approached very quietly and asked her in a soft voice how can she idolize a man that raped a 9-year old girl. She kept saying ‘It’s not true, Mohamed never did that’. She left the store.
The muslims that I know, I no longer speak to them. I’ve had more than enough time to recognize their hatred of Jews and their indifference towards the persecution of Christians. Only the BDS campaign against Israel, the destruction of Israel and Gaza’s palestinians is of interest to these said moderates.
They have no interest in researching their cult.
I thank you for your beautiful testimony. Many blessings in your life.
WOW, what a magical story, one woman’s struggle against totalitarianism and oppression, she has seen jesus’s light. He has shown her and she has followed. Blessings be upon this woman. GERALDINE, you are nuts, maybe lost!!
This story is powerful and filled me with hope, hope that more may follow. This woman has probably heard and witnessed more atrocities than we in the western world could even comprehend.
And she still has hope, she has found fulfillment.
The Iranian woman says: “we have a few Iranian Christians and many other ex-Muslims in our congregation all with really colourful and interesting stories.” It would be wonderful if each week we could read one of their stories!
God’s Amazing Love, Mercy and Forgiveness are beyond words to express!
I am forever grateful; forever in debt to my Lovely Savior, Jesus Christ.
May God’s Wonderful, Great Precious Name be praised throughout all eternity!
Jewish prayer: ‘Hallowed and honored, extolled and exalted, adored and acclaimed be the Name of the blessed Holy One, whose glory is above all the praises, hymns, and songs of adoration which human beings can utter.’
The second to last paragraph says it all ! The United States is under judgement and the correction will be severe.
Even as this is being typed, two witches are suing a NM city to have a Ten Commandments monument removed from a public place.
For the woman that provided this essay, God Bless you. To Bonni, who published it, God Bless you. And to all readers on this site who care for the peace and security both of the State of Israel (through whom the Commandments came), and the United States which has been blessed abundantly because we once held firm to our founding faith, pray !
This judgement shall be severe !
“ In the Book of Job,” it is written, ” What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.”
I have thought for a long time about this passage, this passage and another similar one that troubled me. The second goes like this, “ Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?”
I have found them both true, and this is why I believe we shall not be able to stay the scourge to come upon us until the Lord has finished his work.
The events playing out in the dry, arid regions of the desert from whence the lie of Islam springs shall come here.
We are going to experience on this soil, what is playing out in distant countries such as Australia, Britain, Sweden, Austria , Germany, Indonesia, the African states, Somalia, and certainly all countries under Islamic control.
There shall be confusion here unlike any America has ever experienced in the whole of her history.
If you believe I am not saying the truth consider a man who long should have been removed from office of the President, yet continues to abuse the exalted purpose of that office unrestrained.
The Congress fiddles while Rome burns.
Federalist Paper # 46 informs us it was considered should the federal government become corrupt, then the legislatures of the several states would bring end to the despotic behavior of a government out of control. Were the legislatures of the individual states to be negligent, then the people of the states would correct the deficiencies.
This would hold true, only as long as virtue and morality were the springs motivating the people. Then, unlike now our people were motivated to action, undergirded by the Judeo-Christian ethic, prevalent at the time.
That shall not happen today because as the evidence clearly indicates, we have sacrificed principles for privilege. It shall be our ruin as general Eisenhower observed in 1940’s. The world was faced with a similar scourge then as it is now.
But, we are a different people, few of the early evidences remain and are being discarded daily.
Benjamin Franklin correctly said, “I think a general government necessary for us, and there is no form of government but what may be a blessing to the people, if well administered; and I believe, further, that this is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in despotism, as other forms have done before it, when the people shall become so corrupted as to need despotic government, being incapable of any other.”
That evil is upon us, ordained by God because we have become a disobedient and rebellious people.
In that sense, out of God’s mouth proceeds evil but only as a correction.
The hand of the wicked indeed is the “Sword of the Lord.”
Bonni, your work here is very important as well the testimony of such persons in this above essay.
God bless you all
BNI,
These STORYS do clearly show, ” There is a real dog after all ! ” keep up they good work highlighting these things do work. And, those that see what is needed to be done….
There is one in particular where the Muslim man, a young man, converted to Christ through such an experience as you describe.
When the villagers became aware, his own father was required to poison him.
He even drank the poison knowing what it was because his father commanded him to do so and the cultural influence was so great that to not obey his father was not an option for him.
It is so strange.
The poison made the young man very sick but he was saved out of that trial.
He went into his tent to die but death would not come.
I recall the affect on the villagers was startling.
I have viewed the interview with this young man and it is a compelling account.
To live in such a hostile environment that your own family and tribe would see you dead, staggers the imagination, much less that you may be ruthlessly slaughtered at any moment.
In reply to this ( young girl, that’s now a happily married mother of 3 kiddies of her own ). Please try and understand, that every path/road is hard to travel along ! In what your stated above, ” I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL, ITS ALL TRUE,IN FACT AS EXPLAINED.HERE. ”
But, please consider that during thy past days,(of ya youth) and the views of your MOTHER had the best interests, in your life beyond any reasonable doubt at that too. Being alive to tell your ‘STORY HERE & NOW, IS REFLECTIVE AND SHOWS THAT GOOD CAME FROM IT ALL ! In thy end,eh ?
I understand your upset, as detailed, in these above words. But, think and consider just what ya own mother had to live with in her prevailing times of her own past (?) please. Think of her treatment by her own parents…Go back to I guess [ Even the early 1960’s era of time, when she was a child herself ] it’s social environments back then! the school education for her would’ve been near on NIL in structure !
Then add those worries & concerns of settling down herself ( my feelings of known past ) it would’ve been a living NIGHTMARE within ITSELF ! To get to where she did, and only did her BEST for the darling daughter {# insert your own name right here #} she had, by loving her,thy ‘using whatever was needed ‘ she could in her best ways known from having see nor witness yourself ever being harmed in ways beyond the mind would be able to comprehend be possible in those times.
Considering :- that you started to rebel, against the standard system of locked in & expected/allowed or permitted at that time……. I hope this may help you understand what I am trying to say ? Without being vindictive at all….
p.note – I have no idea or clue to your name ( or ya parents either ) so,even very well doubt I even think we have crossed paths in our life’s yet (?) nor expect to at that,I’m sorry to say ! But, I hope this does make/help you try and get some idea as just why something’s happen, without holding any spiteful revenge on those that have had a major part in yourself becoming just who you are today ?
A unknown, not related person with a heart. That hopes you get to understand it at thy end…….
And may I add, ” All the best to you, ya hubby + children (not having to suffer) the in ways & things of what had been done to you,in coming time ahead ! xxx
As hard as it was for her back then, now that is impossible. If they was serious & found a way to escape away thousands of miles away, they would have to give up their families, forever. There is no in between, no wishy washyness. Being willing to die for ur beliefs is different from dying/getting killed because of what u believe. Then as if that wasn’t bad enough, people/agencies willing to help, have to watch out for the dumbasses that would lie just to get to perform their destinies.being born into it sucks, u don’t have a chance/choice. But those born in places where u r lucky & blessed to be able to choose or choose not to, then to choose to become a muslim, u loose the opportunity to ever choose again.its a no return, no backsees, ever again. No other religion does that. U leave Christianity, Judaism, catholicism, buddism, they welcome u back. If u wake up one day after being an atheist & say I want to learn about any of the 4 just mentioned u will be accepted. Why would u want to give that freedom of choice up?
Because there demonic book tells them so.you should know this bin.never ever trust a demon.ever.dont listen to these lies the monster will be in our midst ready to strike out laughing at all of us god fearing people.
Your patience with this woman is far beyond what lies within me.
She has an agenda and it is not righteous.
Your reply to her is most appropriate.
This passage in her essay is truth:
“I believe however that the only antidote to the Islamic poison is Jesus Christ! You may not agree with this, but as long as the West keeps pushing away its Christian heritage it will have no weapon to neutralize Islam and it will eventually be devoured by its Muslims immigrant/invaders. Only a return to Europe’s Christian heritage can save us all !”
God does not give us a spirit of fear, but he certainly has provided a spirit of revelation and knowledge.
I decect sincerity in the words of this woman but would amend her remarks only slightly.
Until we stand in the shadow of the cross and commit to the words of the Lord, “Repent,” we shall only continue in darkness and indeed the scourge of Islam shall overwhelm the world though not completely.
God has reserved to himself such persons as this woman.
We should be joyful for our Christian heritage, but above all turn to God in Christ.
He is after all the “Solid rock,” the “Chief cornerstone”, the “Head of the corner!”
When I viewed the death of Martyr Mansur Mohamed, murdered for his faith in Somalia in 2008, I was deeply moved by his remarkable composure.
I believe you provided that video here.
It can be found by googling Mansur Mohamed SFJ.
If you had not posted it, could you do so!
Perhaps Geraldine might similarly be moved with compassion for these redeemed persons.
“Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.”
“Militants that afternoon, gathered the villagers of Manyafulka, telling them that they would prepare a feast for them. The people gathered anticipating the slaughter of a sheep, goat or camel according to local custom.” Mansur Mohamed SFJ
They did not realize it was to be the slaughter of Mansur.
Geraldine, I am a saved believer. Her words and story sound like all the others who left islam for Messiah Yeshua. If you aren’t a believer, you can’t see the truth of her words.
Believe it or not, Geraldine, but the story she tells is true, and has been repeated by other Muslims, who have left Islam!
Someone replied, your a “Christian” I would say your hatred shows you to be just opossite, a non-believer. You may attend a church, read a bible every once in a while, but you do not have the Spirit of God living in you.
Change, real change, comes from knowing Jesus! And many Muslims have found Him, the one who died for them, just as He died for for all sinners. It’s not a religion, it’s a relationship with God, that we need. Jesus is the only one who can provide it! As He said, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father (God), but by/through ME.
I guess I’m a lying piece of sh!t too Geraldine. Definitely not- I left after mental, physical and even financial abuse over several years and now many of my family members still don’t have anything to do with me.
Geraldine, while understanding your mistrust and hatred of Moslems in general (I share them!!!), I would urge you – given the way this woman writes, which seems to be truly sincere – to still not be so totally dismissive of individuals as to force all of them into one monolith!!
Much as the overwhelming majority of Moslems are TRULY-EVIL: when they renounce Islam, they truly almost-always have MUCH to undergo, and especially in an ultra-totalitarian place like Iran. The way this lady writes seems to be genuine. Please take that into consideration. Thank you in advance.
This is in Catalunya which unfortunately is being re-Islamasized. The Barcelona bullring was shut down ( animal cruelty) and is now being considered for a Mosqtrosity. The Spanish are very tolerant people. Unfortunately they have not seen threat pf Islam as clearly as their ancestors. Of course, the Reign that ousted the Moors also ousted the Jews and were responsible for The Inquisition.
If you want to sing along to the displeasure of the Animal-minds of Muhammadans….
Ode To Joy
Joyful, joyful
We adore Thee
God of glory
Lord of love
Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee
Hail Thee to the sun above
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness
Drive the dark of doubt away
Giver of immortal gladness
Fill us with the light of day
With light
With light
Mortals join the mighty chorus
Which the morning stars began
Father love is reigning o’er us
Brother love binds man to man
Ever singing march we onward
Victors in the midst of strife
Joyful music lifts us Son ward
In the triumph song of life
Beethoven’s Ninth symphony ….
It contains the spirit of conquest, so it has been stolen and used by every dictator and tyrant from Stalin to Hitler since it was written. It was perfect to inspire armies marching into battle, but Beethoven wrote it for the exact opposite purpose. Most people think it is just an instrumental and has no lyrics, but actually it was written for a poem by the German poet Friedrich von Schiller called “Ode to Joy.” It is about mankind becoming one brotherhood. http://www.truthcontest.com/entries/the-present-with-religion/beatles-prophets.html

A very uplifting story. I believe the author is correct, and we need, as a society, to turn back to Jesus. However, the river is currently flowing in the other direction; I don’t know how it will get reversed. For my part, I’m trying to get as many of my grandchildren into Christian schools as possible, but we need to do more. We need to fight. I favor a direct attack on Islam – to expose it as the political ideology that it is in order to remove any religious freedom-related protections from the Constitution that it currently enjoys, and then get it outlawed as a subversive and tyrannical ideology counter to democratic principles, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I would like to ask the author how she sees things changing in Finland as the immigrant Muslims proceed with their infiltration of non-Muslim nations – how she feels about that and what she, her church, and her government are doing about that.
American , ” I would be very interested in the answers to what you have asked here, too ! ” her own thoughts would be thoughtful from of a EX mozlem. To explain her own views of it all… I a hoping BNI can try following up your suggestion ?
My own feelings is islam, or rather the mozlem style of practice of hiding behind religion should be branded as it truly is ! nothing but A CULT of EVILINESS and nothing more than a system of wreaking our world forever more !
“However, the river is currently flowing in the other direction; I don’t know how it will get reversed.”
It took a great earthquake to cause the Mississippi to run backwards once. Maybe a great spiritual earthquake is what’s needed to get the river running in the correct path once more.
I really enjoyed this amazing womans story. Thanks so much for posting. We in the US, that includes me take going to Church so lightly. I fear though our days are numbered, if your paying attention to what the Atheists are doing. I really dont care if Atheists exist but leave people that believe alone. Atheists seem to be angry and hatefull all the time knowing no joy in their lives so they try to make others miserable. My stance is……If you don’t believe……then good more room for me.
Most people that are calling the shots on this planet are either Atheists, Dollar and Luciferian Worshippers. I mean not all Atheist are bad as I have a couple of them as friends that’s fun to be with. I’m just highlighting the coincidence of it.
Atheists(the militant ones) despise christianity, in part because it sets boundaries on behaviour, but also because christians have a joy that atheists just don’t have. They are envious.
When i finally ackowledged my envy I realized, better to leave people with their faith and joy, kindness and compassion even if I don’t agree with all the supernatural beliefs, than try and destroy the foundations of our society.
It is only Christianity and Judaism that has allowed athiests the freedoms and the right to life and dignity that they so enjoy. They just don’t realize it..yet.
Annie, it’s good you’ve come to a sane sensible decision ….. I’m a Christian and I do not spend my time trying to marginalizing others (Atheists). It has never ceased to amaze me that Atheists are constantly trying to control the lives of Christians.
I can listen to a Muslim, Buddhist, Jew or anyone else speaking (sensibility; non-violently) about their faith and not come unglued, try to control them. Yet, Atheist who do not believe in a god, are rabid about eradicating the faith of others; and they seem to send a large part of their time accomplishing this. What a waste!!
Annie, what a lovely post! Thank you. I certainly agree that any TRUE Christian should be as you say. We are all evolving. Jesus came down on the Pharisees because they were hypocrites, not for not believing but for making it hard for others to believe. I had a mild NDE when I was 9 and always believed in “God” even before it. My family were not believers that I could see and my brother, who’s now a psychiatrist, was an atheist and used to argue with me, condemning my belief. But I always felt that there had to be a “first cause” or as I thought as a child, nothing could come from nothing and whatever that might be, it had to be a lot more intelligent than people (humans) seemed to be. I didn’t have a Bible until I took one from our hotel room when I was 14 and I had read it straight through by the time I was 15, at which age I asked God to show me if He existed. He did–nothing at all what I had expected. No dogma at all, just purity, holiness, peace, GOODNESS. I did not not become a Christian until I was 50, one night when God interrupted my reading of a book on reincarnation to suddenly transfuse into me the knowledge that Jesus was His son. Very strange but it was so implanted, with no words, such that I knew beyond all question or doubt that Jesus was the Christ and I would die before I gave up that “knowledge.” Many years later, He spoke my name in my left ear. And the sweetness of that voice and the love in it was beyond telling. It was like the hymn “I come to the garden alone…And the voice I hear ringing in my ear, the Son of God discloses…And He walks with me and He talks with me and He tells me I am His own.” I walked around on a cloud for weeks. Eleven years later I became a Catholic. I am highly educated and familiar with the intellect and of course the five senses but I came to believe that there is another sense, one of supernatural rather than natural means that discerned God. I told a young Russian atheist that once and he was receptive. The building blocks of Heaven, I came to think after my NDE, were colors and music, though all I saw were flowers, grass and a stream. Which brings me to Ode to Joy. Interesting that Aussie says it’s a favorite of his….he is closer to God, perhaps, than he knows. Thank you, John Daniel, for the lyrics. I knew it was set to a poem of Schiller’ s but had forgotten some of the words. Of course they are a tribute to God and “Freude“ and I never hear it without feeling God’s lifting of my heart. Thank you, Bonni, for posting the performance in Spain. I agree, Aussie, that all differences should be set aside in our “crusade” against Islam. It’s pure evil; you may have another name for it, but for me, Evil describes it well. And I agree that the failure in the West of our Christian civilization is making the rise of Islam easy for it. The weapon to change the flow of the stream is prayer but we must also drop the PC idiocy and not let our Constitution and laws be used against us. BTW, there is no stated “wall of separation of church and state” in our First Amendment though practically speaking, it’s there in freedom of religion (implied none, if you choose, but definitely there shall be no imposition of religion by the state and definitely there shall be no impediment to practice one freely.)As Aussie says, the phrase was written by Jefferson (in his letter to Danbury Baptists telling them the gov’t would not interfere with the practice of their faith.) Blessings to all. I greatly enjoy the story of the Muslim woman’s conversion to Christianity and have no doubt Jesus brought her into His kingdom. One has only to seek and He will show Himself. Knock and He will open the door. He knows when you really mean it from your heart. You will all be in my prayers, as is our ridding the world of Islam and the safety of Israel and America especially. I truly believe harder times are ahead and we brought it on ourselves but if we are dedicated to our mission, we will succeed.
I am happy for this woman. I just feel helpless when trying to talk to other people about islam and they don’t want to listen because, I think, it and its’ problems are so far away from Montana. But, I will pray often for the Christians in the middle east.
capner~ Unfortunately, It won’t be long, and your sleepwalking Montana brethren will wake up to the smell of jihad on the ranch. It’s a comin’ and they are in for an awakening.
Michael Copeland ~ Good link you posted, but…every subject mentioned in your link has been presented here, at one time or another. That’s why I believe the best resource for detecting and understanding the stench of islam, is right here at BNI.
BNI serves up a strong, black, cup of truth, so lightweights ( deniers) might want to sit down while they read. In the years I’ve been learning about islam, I’ve found no better site. There are others, good ones, which focus specifically, on one or two aspects, such as islamic infiltration of the West, or islamic hatred of the Jews, or islamic penchant for rape, and they are good. However, this site right here, is where you get all five courses.

Bonnie,
I beg your patience.

Just had to give my .02 cents worth. Cheers.

Aussie Infidel says
Reader,
Your baseless accusations, and intolerant attitude, make any rational discussion with you impossible.

This is a true good news story!!
Blessings all.

The only hope of salvation for those Zombies is Jesus Christ.. ive read all over the Middle east muslims are receiving visions of Jesus

To live in such a hostile environment that your own family and tribe would see you dead, staggers the imagination, much less that you may be ruthlessly slaughtered at any moment.
derbyiter says
And may I add, ” All the best to you, ya hubby + children (not having to suffer) the in ways & things of what had been done to you,in coming time ahead ! xxx
Michele says

Bonnie,
Your patience with this woman is far beyond what lies within me.
BareNakedIslam says
Reader, I don’t recall her ever being like this before. Don’t know why this story set her off.

aprilyn43 says
Believe it or not, Geraldine, but the story she tells is true, and has been repeated by other Muslims, who have left Islam!
Someone replied, your a “Christian” I would say your hatred shows you to be just opossite, a non-believer. You may attend a church, read a bible every once in a while, but you do not have the Spirit of God living in you.
Change, real change, comes from knowing Jesus! And many Muslims have found Him, the one who died for them, just as He died for for all sinners. It’s not a religion, it’s a relationship with God, that we need. Jesus is the only one who can provide it! As He said, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father (God), but by/through ME.
aprilyn43 says
Geraldine, your hatred has shown your true colors. You are not a Christian and you don’t know what you are talking about.
Your hatred is as poisonous as the hatred of Islam!

I guess I’m a lying piece of sh!t too Geraldine. Definitely not- I left after mental, physical and even financial abuse over several years and now many of my family members still don’t have anything to do with me.
Susan K says
Geraldine: A muslim will NEVER EVER EVER praise or promote Christianity. Nor will it ever qualify Islam as a poison. End of story.
This is how you recognize the deceitful from the truthful.

I would like to ask the author how she sees things changing in Finland as the immigrant Muslims proceed with their infiltration of non-Muslim nations – how she feels about that and what she, her church, and her government are doing about that.
derbyiter says
American , ” I would be very interested in the answers to what you have asked here, too ! ” her own thoughts would be thoughtful from of a EX mozlem. To explain her own views of it all… I a hoping BNI can try following up your suggestion ?
My own feelings is islam, or rather the mozlem style of practice of hiding behind religion should be branded as it truly is ! nothing but A CULT of EVILINESS and nothing more than a system of wreaking our world forever more !
WildChild says

GBV says
Most people that are calling the shots on this planet are either Atheists, Dollar and Luciferian Worshippers. I mean not all Atheist are bad as I have a couple of them as friends that’s fun to be with. I’m just highlighting the coincidence of it.
Annie says
I’m an atheist and I agree with you here.
But they will.
aprilyn43 says
Margaret Lee says
