Sources say her fate was sealed as soon as she got into his car. Rebecca, 30, was sexually assaulted and strangled to death after getting in a taxi following a ‘girl’s night out’ at a popular tourist bar in Beirut.
The SUN (h/t IslamsWorstNightmare) previously revealed Tarek Houchiye has confessed to police that he killed Rebecca, who was found dead at the roadside.
A source has now told MailOnline her fate was sealed when she got into the taxi and Houchiye saw her wearing a short skirt. The source said: “He said he found her pretty, wearing a short skirt…and so he decided to rape her as it would be easy as she was a foreigner.”
The driving licence of Tarek Houchiye emerged along with documents showing he faked his criminal record papers so he could work as a cabbie in Beirut. Houchiye, also known as Hesso, was said to have hidden his convictions for drugs offences and assault.
Days later, the 29-year-old strangled Rebecca, 30, as he took her home after a night out.
Uber said it was now aware of the faked documents but that it was up to the government in Lebanon to make checks. A security source said: “It is well known that he had a criminal past and convictions.
Images on the suspect’s Facebook page include shots of him holding a Kalashnikov weapon in 2014, and he is also pictured pouring himself what appears to be vodka.
Lebanon’s interior minister this week said the Uber driver had served time in prison, and accused the company of not checking criminal records of its drivers.
Minister Nohad Machnouk said the driver had three priors on his judicial record involving drugs and had been imprisoned on that basis.“However it appears he has either bribed someone to wipe his record and provide this document. Or indeed the document is a fake.”
An Uber spokesman said: “In Lebanon, only fully licensed taxi drivers who have a commercial license from the government can use our app. In order to get a commercial taxi license, drivers must have a clean judicial record and meet all the standards set by the government.
Too bad Brittan doesn’t have the Second Amendment and concealed carry. It would go a long way towards stopping some of these bottom dwelling pond scum suckers “dead” in their tracks. Uber NEVER DID BACKGROUND CHECKS TILL LAST YEAR. When the goverment ordered Cory reports they loss 8500 drivers,Cab drivers needed a Cory report for at lease 60 years and they have to past it before they can be hired.
