10 Weeks paid maternity leave in Saudi Arabia? Most women don’t even work in Saudi Arabia, or if they do, they get the lowest jobs and limited opportunities. Most types of jobs are not open to women. And yes, they can’t drive, so it is harder for them to get around to even go to work. That puts Saudi Arabia to shame.
They can’t work in the same office as men. They have to pass work back and forth through a scuttle. Our office was quite illegal. Wh had a couple of American women as secretaries. They rode to work with their husbands who worked across the street. They also have to ride in the back of the bus, and have separate bus shelters from men.
I still say women are going to get angry and that anger will turn into HATE and they will be a large part if not indeed the catalyst for the coming war against muzslime. She doesn’t eat pork, drink booze, and she wears a hijab. Fine. Try living in Saudi Arabia or Iran where you don’t have a choice. Where women get the crap beat out of them for even a minor infraction of Islamic rules. She is married and has kids. If her husband beats the shit out of her, she has legal recourse in the United States, but she doesn’t have such in Iran or Saudi Arabia. If she gets raped, again she has legal recourse, the perpetrator can be tried and punished under Western laws in liberal democracies. But if she is raped in Islamic countries she has no legal defense, and in fact, she can be prosecuted and punished herself if she is raped, because she will be deemed at fault.
That’s all that Al Shariah is.

The Muslima inherits half as much as her brother. She must put out on demand, any time, anywhere, even on the back of a camel. She can be beaten for refusing. If she is accidentally killed, the blood wit is 50 camels, if her brother is killed, it’s 100 camels. She can not testify in a rape case. Her testimony has half the weight as her brother’s. Her husband owns her, like a slave or domestic animal. He can divorce her by saying talaq three times. No support, no alimony, no judge; no lawyers. No reciprocity. She must go through an Islamic court to divorce her husband.
Most if not all Islamic countries don’t even allow a female to divorce. Many women live in limbo, abandoned by their husbands, but still legally married to him with no way out.
