CAIR alleges that what they like to call “Islamophobic” organizations in the United States are receiving tens of millions of dollars in funding from anonymous sources via charitable organizations to anti-Muslim special interest groups which have a “destructive impact on public life.” (If anyone knows any of these anonymous sources handing out “millions” to anti-Islam groups, would you please direct them Bare Naked Islam? CAIR puts out reports like this virtually every year. They dress it up with a new cover and new title and rehash the same old mostly unsubstantiated information.
According to CAIR, Islamophobic attitudes and policies are propagated by special interest groups with deep sources of funding. This decentralized group of actors is known as the Islamophobia Network, a closeknit family of organizations and individuals that share an ideology of extreme anti-Muslim animus, and work with one another to negatively influence public opinion and government policy about Muslims and Islam.
In CAIR’s latest hit piece, Hijacked by Hate, CAIR researchers allegedly have found 1,096 organizations responsible for funding 39 groups in the Islamophobia Network between 2014 and 2016. The report also reveals the total revenue capacity of the Islamophobia Network during this period to reach at least $1.5 billion. This money has been channeled into politics, media, law enforcement, educational institutions, lobbying groups, and a whole assortment of industries to advance anti-Muslim and anti-Islam animus in America.
It may come as no surprise that well-known anti-Muslim groups, such as ACT for America or the Middle East Forum, despite once being considered fringe voices in the public sphere, have enjoyed rapid growth in funding and in fuence in the current political moment. What is less known and more shocking is that the Islamophobia Network is strongly supported by mainstream American philanthropic institutions.

Schools under fire for encouraging teachers to give students Ramadan greeting
‘By blessing Muslim students in Arabic, teachers unmistakably endorse religion…’
A religious liberty advocacy group warned a Seattle-area school district Monday that it faces a lawsuit unless it revokes a letter sent to schools urging them to offer children an Arabic greeting for Ramadan, the Muslim holy month that has just begun.
Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund says the Dieringer School District is following a script laid out by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) that urged schools to make special accommodations, including altering testing times and wishing students “Ramadan Mubarak” or “Ramadan Kareem.”
The defense fund says Dieringer Superintendent Judy Martinson “enacted the letter as official district policy” by distributing it to principals, who in turn issued it to teachers. A parent and a teacher complained to the defense fund, which fired off its letter of a lawsuit unless the school district corrects matters.
Daniel J. Piedra, executive director of FCDF, said there are a number of problems with what CAIR suggested, including suggestions that schools proactively inform students they can take excused absences for religious observations and that teachers welcome Muslim students to class with the Arabic greetings.
“Exchanging Islamic greetings with Muslim students impermissibly advances and promotes a religious message,” Mr. Piedra said in his warning letter.
