President Donald Trump’s administration has finalized a regulation to revoke Obama-era policy on transgender health care. The policy shift will now define gender as a person’s biological sex (the only definition that counts).
Neonnettle The regulation established under former President Barack Obama defined gender as a person’s internal sense of being male, female, neither or a combination. A hospital could be required to perform gender-transition procedures such as hysterectomies under the Obama-era federal rule.
LGBTQ groups argue that explicit protections are needed for people seeking sex-reassignment treatment and for transgender people who need medical care for common conditions, while women’s groups say the new regulations also restrict access to abortion.
The Department of Health and Human Services said it will now enforce sex discrimination protections “according to the plain meaning of the word ‘sex’ as male or female and as determined by biology.” Conservatives say the Obama administration exceeded its legal authority in broadly interpreting gender.
“Under the old Obama rule, medical professionals could have been forced to facilitate gender reassignment surgeries and abortions — even if they believed this was a violation of their conscience or believed it harmful to the patient,” said Mary Beth Waddell of the religious conservative Family Research Council.
The American Medical Association strongly criticized the Trump administration’s action. Under the Obama-era rule, a hospital could be required to perform gender-transition procedures such as hysterectomies (funded by taxpayers in many cases) if the facility provided that kind of treatment for other medical conditions.

Tax payers should NEVER be paying for their surgery, it is an “elective”.

Many trans people are in mental health clinics due to complete confusion and regrets for having undergone their surgeries, another reason we taxpayers should not be obligated to pay for this operation.

It says that you can’t fire them just because they are gay or trans. Nothing prevents you from not hiring them as long as you don’t use that as the reason. Just like with Muslims.
Inclusive restrooms is not a law. Trans men being banned from participating in women’s sports so far is a state-by state decision. One or two states have already banned it and several others are considering.
I think lurking is more prevalent. And it’s just as bad. You can prove rape through semen but lurking, no.

I’m all for freedom and rights, but there are times when the line must be drawn. Allowing someone to identify as someone/thing they’re not, and catering and pandering to their delusions (including unnecessary surgeries and hormone treatments) is definitely one of them.
