The age sounds disturbing. Why would the mother get her to convert now? I am afraid that this is the prelude for holy matrimony of the prophetic kind, and converting is an essential prerequisite for being blissfully (for the man) being wedded. I do hope that Child Protection Services keeps watch over this innocent child, and ensures that no harm is done to her person in the name of FGM or marriage.
