Suud Olat a former refugee from Somalia and candidate for Minneapolis City Council Ward 6, posted on Facebook that Somali’s are “going to take over”. Olat shared a Facebook post about a Somali news platform serving Somali’s across the world, along with the caption: “Mukhtar Dahir SDN – Somali Diaspora News SDN – Somali Diaspora News all the way. We going to take over.”
SC Times Olat is one of 12 candidates running in a special election for City Council in Minneapolis’ Ward 6. (But it appears that if you are not a Somali Muslim there, you don’t stand much of a chance)
Olat has been the target of online abuse and anti-Muslim posts since he announced his candidacy for Minneapolis City Council earlier this year. His key issues are tied to housing and safety for Somali elders as well as parking and other services. (Maybe the online abuse comes from his key issues which focus only on Somalis?)
“Islamophobia is real,” said Jaylani Hussein, executive director of the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. “The more public you are the more likely you are to be targeted.” Olat may get additional push back because of his ties to St. Cloud, which is home to some anti-Muslim activity, Hussein said.
Olat expected some opposition from people who oppose diversity and globalization, because he’s an activist and lobbied federal lawmakers to support Globalist causes. There are articles posted that claim he has a radical agenda (Like his fellow Somali Muslim, Rep. Ilhan Omar), he said.
Looks like when when a Somali Muslim runs for office in Minnesota, he doesn’t even have to make campaign videos in English.
Why is a place like Minnesota such a magnet for these people?
It should be a beautiful place to live but it has been poisoned by the presence of Islam.
With it being northern, remote, and kinda cold, it also reminds me of a part of Britain that I came from, that I would sadly never go back to for the same reasons.

Even though i followed the (real) news all the time during Obama’s presidency, I often forget what he and his underlings were really like, and the specifics of what they did. He’s been gone for 3 years now.
And in the mean time I have been more focused on things such as the disappointment of Trump failing to stop “social” media censorship and other things that bother me..
It’s a hard thing to do (stop media censorship) because the companies that censor are considered private companies. First Amendment limits what the government can do in the way of censorship. Not what private companies can do. The Trump team is trying to have these big internet giants designated as public utilities, which would subject them to First Amendment limitations.
But this is an uphill battle that might never happen.
Really, well I believe it’s mostly because of lack of willpower on the part of the president and his people.
Of course they are public utilities, this should have been declared years ago. He has forgotten about the people who got him elected, and now, those people are being censored or suppressed! Sorry if you think I’m being “off-topic” but guess what, this is something I think about every day and it makes me angry.

I live 2 blocks outside the Minneapolis boarder. When i was growing up minesota was a great place to live Everyone you saw or knew or met shared your culture your values and ethnicity Even though there were republicans and democrats but we share the same values and the love for the america we knew was the best country on earth because of it’s European and western heritage. We love or home and culture and by god if you were going to migrate to america regardless of your culture and religion you were required to accept our norms and values and most of all choose your new country OVER your old one!
