The tragic end of Notre Dame Cathedral restored as a “woke communist theme park”

NOTRE DAME TO BECOME A MONUMENT TO FAR-LEFTIST IDEOLOGY: Notre Dame burned down in 2019 in a mysterious fire. The cause was never found or, more likely, intentionally never revealed. The fire took place as Catholic churches across Europe, including France, are being vandalized and burned down by Muslim invaders.

Independent Sentinel Yes, Notre Dame is being rebuilt. Unfortunately, in a move that clearly damages the historical and religious meaning of France’s Notre Dame, the church looks like it might be built back better as a’ Woke Disney-like theme-ridden amusement park.’

Reports say it will be dedicated to environmentalism and social justice [communism]. Not the Lord God? Each of the chapels will be dedicated to social justice issues, including a chapel dedicated to the environment and others with African and Asian themes.

Notre Dame will apparently include a “discovery trail” that leads visitors through 14 themed chapels of different communist woke ideals dedicated to social justice and African and Asian themes which have nothing to do with Notre Dame’s history. It’s designed so non-Catholics can understand and enjoy it.

Europe, like the US under Biden, is “building back better,” in other words, building a new society in the image of the hard left. This cathedral seems like it will fit in. Confessional boxes, altars, and classical sculptures are being replaced by trendy art murals, with sound and special lighting effects to create “emotional spaces.”

In the African and Asian-themed chapels, scripture will be beamed onto the walls in various languages, including Mandarin. Speaking to the Telegraph, Maurice Culot, described the Notre Dame revamp as “It’s as if Disney were entering Notre Dame.”

“What they are proposing to do to Notre Dame would never be done to Westminster Abbey or Saint Peter’s in Rome,” said Culot of the disgraceful revamp. “It’s a kind of theme park and very childish and trivial given the grandeur of the place.”

According to the Daily Mail, officials responsible for Notre Dame’s reconstruction say that the intent is for the monument to be accessible to tourists with no understanding of Christianity, “whether from China or Sweden.”

The politically correct Notre Dame is being slammed by senior sources close to its reconstruction. One source told the Telegraph that the plans to wokeify Notre Dame risked turning it into an “experimental showroom,” that would “mutilate” the space.

They want to turn Notre Dame into a one-of-a-kind liturgical showcase when it should be a monument where even the tiniest modification should be handled with extreme caution, Republic World reported.

Far Left Buzzfeed denied the story by Paul Joseph Watson that Muslims were celebrating Notre Dame Cathedral fire by posting ‘Happy Face’ Smileys online. But Watson sets the record straight below. Apparently, there were also ‘Sad Face’ Smileys by Muslims after reports surfaced that the cathedral wasn’t totally destroyed and would be rebuilt.

In 2019, as Milo Yiannopoulos said in Frontpage Mag, “Buildings like Notre Dame do not erupt into flames spontaneously. That’s not how God works, even to punish a civilization as deep in moral ruin as ours. My suspicions, and those of almost everyone I know, are hardly calmed when we see Fox News—yes, even Fox—repeatedly refusing to host an honest discussion of the possibility, even as experts tell French TV that eight hundred year old timber simply doesn’t burn that way without an accelerant. I mean, it’s not as though news networks restrain their hosts from wild speculation during other crises.

So, understandably, the first reaction from anyone who has been reading the news lately was: “Muslims, right?” Alas, even Right-wing newsreaders are terrified of saying the wrong thing when the perp might be a member of the Religion of Peace. Attacks on Christian churches in Europe have become so numerous that even Newsweek has had to admit it—though the magazine hilariously claims that no one knows why these attacks are happening, and the words “Islam” and “Muslim” are nowhere to be found in its reporting.

The fire in Notre Dame is a work of iconoclasm, akin to the statues of Mary being smashed in France and Germany by Muslims who also see the Incarnation as blasphemous. I sense in much of the European coverage of the past week a kind of guilt. France, perhaps more than any other country, deserved some sort of retribution from God, and I think Parisians know it. France doesn’t even record its citizens’ religious beliefs in its national census. No one has any idea what percentage of French people are Christian, though we can be sure the percentage is going down as the number of Muslims goes up.

It is characteristic of Western civilization to rise again, as even Left-wing medievalists who can’t bring themselves to acknowledge Christianity have to admit. But can we possibly restore what has been lost even if we try? The West has lost its soul, and with that soul, its craft. As we lost our understanding of God as maker, we lost our respect for making things ourselves. We therefore no longer possess either the will or the means to build something like Notre Dame, less still the technical ability to dare attempt a repair.

And what about Emmanuel Macron’s chilling pledge that Notre Dame will be rebuilt “more beautiful than before”? In 1905, churches in France were declared the property of the state, which raises horrifying prospects for Notre Dame’s reconstruction. Will Macron suggest a “multi-faith prayer space” in order to be “truly inclusive” of France’s “multicultural society”? Don’t bet against it, folks. Already the calls are going out from elitist architects—in Rolling Stone, natch—that the rebuilding should not reflect “white European France.”

Too bad the French people didn’t heed the words of American commentator Bill Whittle about the mass destruction of churches in Europe by the same Christian-hating people that Europe has welcomed to their shores in massive numbers.
