Two (Muslim) teenagers in the UK were reportedly arrested Sunday night as part of an investigation into the harrowing hostage-taking of a rabbi and three congregants at a Texas synagogue by Muslim terrorist Malik Faisal Akram, age 44. (Photos below)
SKY News The teens were taken into custody by England’s Greater Manchester Police and were being questioned by investigators, the Independent reported. It wasn’t immediately clear what connection the pair had to Saturday’s frightening ordeal during a Shabbat morning service at the Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville. The Metropolitan Police’s counter-terrorism unit says it is also “liaising with US authorities and colleagues from the FBI.”
Akram was from Blackburn in the UK and was not living in the United States but had recently traveled there before carrying out the attack on the synagogue in Colleyville on Saturday.
British Muslim Malik Faisal Akram, 44, held the victims captive while demanding the release of Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani Muslim neuroscientist with suspected ties to al Qaeda currently locked up at a federal prison in Texas, authorities said. The tense standoff lasted for about 10 hours, part of which was captured on a Facebook live stream of the services.
Akram was fatally shot by an FBI team after all four hostages were safely released from the synagogue.
Joe Biden declared the hostage situation an “act of terror,” but said that authorities “just don’t have enough facts” to determine why Akram targeted the synagogue. (Perhaps they should look at the terrorist Siddiqui, whom he was trying to get out of prison. Her hatred for Jews and Israel was what motivated her)

I remember during the height of 9/11 frenzy and even afterward, British and European Muslims were prevented from traveling to the US. If they did manage to fly, there would be greater scrutiny of their background and the TSA would humiliate Muslim passengers at will.
When I came to the US, they gave me a hard time at Chicago O’Hare airport. Even though I didn’t have a British passport I was flying from London, so that raised all the red flags. At least five different agents frisked me and my belongings.
Being Ghulam, I cracked a few jokes during the search: “Guys if I had to plan a bombing, would I be dumb enough to bring explosives on a plane? No, I would reach out to the Al Qaida sleeper cells in your country, and lie underground in wait for the right moment.”
They mumbled among each other, “Is this nig’a for real?”
They asked me to provide them a local address which happened to be a mosque in Chicago. That made them even more paranoid. They put me in the waiting room (more like a prison cell with an officer watching my moves). One of the TSA agents actually drove all the way to the mosque, and back. He told the rest of his crew: “This whack-job is no threat for now.Just take his fingerprints.” They further advised me to report to the nearest police station within 15 days.
That was my welcome crew in America. 🙂
What year was that? Yes, I’m sure it was difficult for you as a Muslim. But thanks to 9/11, going to the airport became a time-consuming hassle for all of us.

I wasn’t the only one being interrogated at the O’Hare “Reception” center. There were at least 20-25 arrivals – mostly from Muslim countries – I could tell half of them must have been from Pakistan. Women, children — they were all being frisked like they’d blow up any moment.
There was this 7-foot tall black TSA guy (way taller than me) who asked me: “Sir, what is your purpose of visiting the United States.” As if I hadn’t already mentioned that thing in the form.
I only said one word: “Tourism.”
He then proceeded to rough me up a bit. But then he straightened my shirt collar and patted me down in such a way that the crease was all gone. With his bare hands — this guy didn’t seem to need a steam iron.
I was kinda amazed and told him: “So did you work at a laundry for 20 years before joining the force?”
He didn’t like that comment, and bade me to sit on the wooden chair. this is what he said, “I know you ain’t no motherfucking tourist, dawg. Sit your ass down and wait here till my boy comes back with your report.”
That comment made me chuckle. I said: “I wanna use the toilet.”
So he passed me back to another agent who was overseeing me. This guy escorts me all the way INSIDE a toilet with urinal partitions. He just stands there right next to my partition.
I totally lost it at him: “Can you please stand at a distance? I’m trying to take a piss, you asshole.” He did move away and for the first time, I was left alone for a moment.
The level of paranoia of the TSA goons. They think I might be hiding a liquid bomb or something in my anatomy.
As soon as the guy returned from the mosque after verifying my local address, they quickly handed me my passport. It was a lady officer with a fake plastic smile. “Welcome to the United States. Please enjoy your stay.”
Appropriate behavior around any Muslim. Especially Pakistanis.

This Particular brother Malik was banned from Blackburn magistrates court not long after 9/11 for making comments there glorifying the attacks.

I might be a Muslim but I have standards. I like to be surrounded by beautiful-looking people. We do have them even in Islamoland.
I was a kid it was pre 9/11. They dressed the same as me spoke the same as me and went to the same schools, shops and barbers, The only difference them was the colour of their skin.
Then after 9/11 everything changed. They grew beards wore shalwarkameez and started using Arabic phrases like ‘inshallah’ ‘Mashallah’ I’d never heard them say things like that before. Then my parents moved us out of that area. (White flight)
