Three years after their rising Islamic ‘caliphate’ was crushed in defeat under the Trump Administration, the Islamic State has carried out deadly attacks in Syria and Iraq, signifying ISIS’ resurgence on the world scene.
The Islamic State waged simultaneous attacks on a Syrian Jail and a military base in Iraq.. The first attack targeted Kurdish-controlled Gweiran Prison in Hassakeh, Syria on January 21. Militants attacked the jail holding nearly 5,000 prisoners, including a large number of ISIS fighters who were freed in the attack on the prison. Let the beheadings begin!

Like Taliban, Western military forces had ISIS on the ropes, but as soon as Western forces pulled out, they began to reassert themselves. They are like a parasitic infection or an infestation of vermin. If you don’t completely destroy them, they will return.
