At least this particular Muslima has some sense. She KNOWS that she has it good here in the USA. Most Muslims haven’t a clue. I am apprehensive about any Muslim in public office, since they subscribe to Islamic ideology and ultimately most want to establish a theocracy everywhere where they set up shop. But she is at least more sensible than that wacko Ilhan Omar.

There are a few Muslim women that are so ugly that they look terrible with or without the head job (hijab), so it makes no difference. But most Muslim women look better without it. And women who actually don the hijab, (usually wacko liberal women, who think it is cool, or standing up for oppressed minorities) it usually detracts from their looks.
As far as credibility, yes, I think you are right, she would gain credibility among conservatives and the mainstream community to doff the head job.
She is obviously dressed in a Western suit and the hijab she is wearing doesn’t even fit well.

Yes, it bothers me she is not assimilating. I am ok with Muslims as long as they stay in their country and work to improve it. If I want to see how Muslims dress and live I will visit their country if allowed. My country should not be allowing the entire Muslim world to immigrate. None of the west should and yet they are all simply handing over their rights to islam culture.

I hesitate to believe that any Muslim is a conservative, much less a decent human being. I think lots of really bad people will be running for office and trying to convince us they are conservative and America first. Gotta do some serious vetting. In Texas we elected Dan Crenshaw who claimed to be a Republican, but he turned out to be an American last globalist. Can’t believe any of these people. Check them out and dig deep.
