That said I am not a great supporter of the hijab. Many Muslim males are like me although I grant you you won’t find too many of my type in places like Pakistan or Afghanistan. Turkey, yes? Hijab is extremely uncommon in that Muslim country and is in fact still banned in government buildings. Azerbaijan has also banned the hijab although it’s full of Muslims. I see far less Muslim women in Indonesia wear the hijab, at least in Djakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and major tourist spots like Bali.
Unfortunately, some of our women still love wearing the hijab and that includes my wife. Although she only covers the head, she does likes to wear all those floral prints and golden borders which kinda defeats the whole purpose of modesty through hijab. You should see her wearing Chanel red lipstick. It’s so bold you could spot her from a mile.

When I was in school, girls were not allowed to wear pants, even in the coldest weather, and nobody protested or bitched about it.

My mother didn’t complain, but she was happy when they came out with tights that girls could wear under their skirts to keep them warm. It was a different world back then, people didn’t feel so “entitled.”
