A low income person I know in So. California can only get to work by car. A short time ago she paid $10.00 to get gasoline for her car. She now has to pay $50.00 for the same mileage.
Today, in just one day, the gasoline in So California jumped up from $5.50 yesterday to $6.00 a gallon today.

I can understand their idealism but feel so sorry that in their inability to offer one concrete idea (other than their emotional feelings) they reflect such utter naivite. “C’mon man,” when you are college age you ought to have some discernment, some intellectual honesty. I’d respect them more if they had said, yeah i/we (or whatever their chosen pronouns) are very disappointed with his leadership. The young people shown in this video are a walking advertisement for a needed overhaul in higher education in the US. This must start with the termination of professorial tenure. Why do college academics deserve employment for life? That endowment breeds an end to scholarship and intellectual development. It produces closed professorial minds which are passed on to captive student audiences. Also, while we ought not interfere with free speech, campus activists do precisely that. The disruptors of invited speakers ought to be dismissed from school. It’s not only anti-intellectual but it is anti-American to block invited speakers. To do this there must be a new leadership in Academia, one that not spends all its time on fund raising but one that maintains the institutions’ commitment to academic values and academic order.
I watched this and feel sorry for these fools. I also feel sadness as I am an alumnus of UCLA and me and my wife met there in the late 70s. The educational standards have dropped badly.
