This is the result of ‘Nun Effect’. As soon as they put on a veil, they think they are holy and pure and better than everyone else. They present themselves as sanctimonious and special. Nuns think they are God’s brides. They are really just ‘Peanut Heads’. Just a nut in an unshelled casing.
Good luck to her if she found the peace she was searching for as everybody does, however I wonder how she will feel once she marries a muslim guy from some islamic Nation and then goes with him to his home land and sees how islam really works, really teaches, and not, in what I guess, is California, where she sounds like she comes from.
When a person is really lost in their own head, their own mind, questioning their very lifestyle and existence, then they search out for something that fills that empty space in their life, some find this, some find that.
I just hope she knows she cant change her mind once she is in this Fascist Religious Cult.
Her mentality had to be open to a system that looked into her background with the inherent hostility and rejection that she herself felt, probably from some poor life choices she had made earlier. She had a self hate and rather than dealing with reform and repentance within her own culture she embraced an ideology that completely rejects the entire norms against which she probably erred. Wait until her new muslim hubby asserts his patriarchy and slaps the crap out of her, or keeps her from going out of the home without a chaperone or takes a second wife, or a third, or a fourth. Her embrace of her new direction may reveal her misjudgement about what it is really about.
