Justin Trudeau was so expecting the attacker was a white supremacist that he had one of his many “anti-Islamophobia” speeches ready to go… so he must have been disappointed to learn that it was a MUSLIM who carried out the attack at the Dar Al-Tawheed Islamic Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. The attacker, identified as Mohammad Moiz Omar, 24, from Mississauga, walked into the mosque during morning prayers and allegedly “discharged bear spray towards men in the mosque while “brandishing a hatchet and other sharp edged weapons,” the mosque said in a Facebook post.
FOX News Mohammad Moiz Omar, a 24-year-old man from Mississauga, has been formally charged with the following offences:
- Assault with a weapon
- Administering Noxious Substance with intent to Endanger Life or Cause Bodily Harm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Utter Threat to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Carrying Concealed weapon
- Mischief to religious property
About 20 men were praying at the mosque when Omar sprayed them, Nadia Hasan, of the National Council of Canadian Muslims, said on behalf of the mosque.
“Some of the men turned around and they very bravely decided that they were not going to let him attack them,” she said. “They tackled him to the ground and apprehended him until the police showed up.”
Police said worshippers suffered minor injuries from the bear spray.
Canadian Prime Minister Justice Trudeau condemned the attack in a Twitter post, calling it “incredibly disturbing.”
Ontario Premier Doug Ford also condemned the violence and applauded the heroism of the congregants.
Last week soon after the attack, I was reading the ticker tape news on CTV(a Canadian broadcasting company) which mentioned the attack but absolutely no mention who the perp was. Then a minute later I flipped to CNN and their ticker tape news did mentioned the perp’s name and I was relieved it was a ‘Mo’ sand monkey. It’s not often CNN mentions Canada, I was all excited. I was also relieved it was not a white red neck. (oh yeah ok, there is no other kind of ‘red neck’).
I’m so glad he explained what a hatchet is. It’s always an isolated incident, isn’t it? I’m sure this made Justin’s butt pucker!
This is called “taqiya”. Their islamophobia agenda is not getting enough attention in this pandemic time. They have to create a strong event to get attention.
If that were the case, it would not have been a Muslim doing it.

Jas, I don’t think so. When they damage their own mosques for media sympathy and/or insurance money, police virtually NEVER arrest a perp. With this one, no one was hurt, so they can’t even play it up for weeks of media attention and neighborhood support.

We will never know. But it has the smell of a personal issue with the mosque and someone inside.
It could also be a newbie who recently moved into the area and the mosque imam kept ringing his doorbell to the point of harassment, the idea being for him to attend prayers and give money. Imams can be quite persistent and scary in their harassment of newly arrived Muslims.
